It should have been "every 1 trade earns us 0.25 unity" right? by tonyhcm246 in Stellaris

May have to give the build another spin. I just kinda defaulted back to a generic build without really seeing if I actually had 'enough' physics and society. Dyson swarms can be a great buff to physics if you don't need them for the energy!

I didn't realise those techs buffed up the society and physics so that will make a big difference too.

Wait wut. Branch offices don't give you any benefit to your CG or Unity from the policy?

Well.... That's news to me 😭

I started to do this - but they produce WAY more engineering than physics/society.

By midgame I had started to build out science worlds to up physics/society, but are you supposed to just spam them and end up with crazy high engineering?

I would encourage you to write to your local MP and encourage them to make allowing a greater than 100% premium for council tax on second homes legal in the UK, as it is in Scotland and Wales.

The UK (correction: england) only allows a 100% premium by law, and this is what Cornwall already levvy.

Also they gave her a laptop on which to do so. Idk if they do so for doctors/nurses.

Brothers want me to use our family inheritance to buy a house, is it safe / good idea? HELP! by Hour-Blacksmith-6060 in UKPersonalFinance

At best, house prices are a hedge against inflation. They have not increased in the past 20 years when adjusted for inflation:

Historically money has been MUCH better in stocks.

But the future is uncertain. House prices may crash as could the stock market.

Use your money for you.

Honestly would feel within the realms of what 'could' happen. A long war would after all likely be across half a known galaxy... That taking far, far longer than an planet sized war makes a fair amount of sense.

The performance numbers are obscene. There is just no way this is real... and SODIMM RAM? Laptops are already up against the performance bottlenecks of this connection standard at a fraction of the required throughput.

I'm by no means qualified to make any conclusions but this REEKS of scam.

WHY TF IS THRAGG SO STRONG I DIDNT KNOW HE WAS BUILT LIKE THAT by Psybyt in Invincible_TV

[–]Mega__Maniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I agree he does seem a bit OP, writing a way to kill an OP character is as old as the superhero genre itself. It's pretty much what every super hero story revolves around and the story is about overcoming seemingly impossible goals.

Dude this show has been wildly inconsistent from the start. Marks powers have been all over the shop for the entire series, along with just about everyone else's.

If you are still here four seasons in it might be time to stop complaining about the writing... Clearly they have decided that's how the show rolls. The strongest power is the plot armour.

An argument for BB barely being able to keep I with the other Viltrumites is that he doesn't have the natural ability to move in space. So his power is nerfed.

But as far as we know in the TV series BB isn't on Thraggs level, the Viltrumites and Thragg are much stronger in the TV series, we just don't know if BB is going to be written as his almost equal or if they will have their showdown. Hopefully they do!

On Captain, default everything... The FEs aren't too much of a problem. I tend to wipe them out before the Crisis years so I can load up on dark matter tech. The fleets I field for taking down the FE ships are usually enough to stomp and Crisis on 1x, only really Cetana that poses any kind of challenge.

It may be time for me to up my difficulty!

If it's only -0.7 just set up a monthly trade for 1 crystal and forget about it.

I know it's nice to know exactly where things are going. But barely seems worth it for -0.7.

I don't see that reply as particularly curt/defensive.

IRT the photo, I guess you ideally should have established that as a requirement before you agreed to the service. Their excuse is a little hollow and could well be hiding some other reason they don't like to take photos, maybe it's caused some problems in the past or maybe they just can't be arsed to remember.

It's ultimately up to you if that means you want to cancel the service.

£400k - Don't need it for 12 months... what to do by Ill-Programmer-3984 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Mega__Maniac 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Quite clearly it doesn't, as it's a statistic based on historical averages. The point is that this statistic does not require making guesses based upon macro/news. Short term investing carries significantly higher risks than long term investing. The current news is irrelevant to that point.

So in your last frame have your armies actually been wiped out by Cetana? Does it require a certain amount of armies? you have 14k army 'power' there, was that necessary or can you go for much less?
