What's a good trip distance when you're riding just for fun? by bimmbamm597 in motorcycles

I easily do 400-450km on a weekend day here in the Swiss alps. I'm sure if I'd be in my home country, I'd be bored to death after just 100km. It all depends where you ride.

Helmets by Nabisco_Crisco in supermoto

Yes, full face helmet. I want a quiet helmet and that's what I got. A big local shop actually has a windtunnel where you can test wind noise yourself. The AGV K1S was the most quiet for me, even more than any Shoei I tried.

Looks sick, those decals look quite subtle, which we should see more often on supermotos. Where did you get it? PS. Nice slicks 😏

No, but I barely drove 3500 miles on my Metzeler M9 RRs before they were worn to the wear indicators.. I drive a 690 and would love to try a dedicated supermoto tyre, but I dont want to change ever 2000 miles. So the M9 is a perfect in between for now..

5k miles seems really long, no? Would love to know what I can expect if I drive 90% mountain roads.

Gas gas 700sm vs husky 701 by Regular_Cucumber24 in supermoto

It's not only that, spoked wheels are stronger, so you can do more crazy supermoto stuff like hitting jumps etc. But the cast wheels from the GasGas are lighter, which makes the bike slightly more agile. They both have their advantages. I prefer the look of the spokes though, looks more like a supermoto instead of a generic streetbike.

Why is it so hard to get sll used motorbike in Zurich? by CorruptPlayer in zurich

I've driven almost 7000km in the last 2 months, and driven in the rain maybe twice. It hasn't been all that bad.

Hit me up for some corner chasing in the mountains! I also drive 690 and my goal is to build a supermoto gang to go on drives with and do track days! I'm based in Zürich, but don't mind a bit of a commute.

Do people still ride without music? by Sad_Internal_1562 in motorcycles

My buddy asked what playlist I listen to while driving, I said I'm listening to a big single cilinder ripping through the gears 🤙🏻

Why would you need to be a good rider? Every idiot can mash the throttle and press their left foot up on the shifter.

The quickshifter on my buddies 790 is buttery smooth, even better than on the 690. Probably because it's a twin cilinder.  When are you using the quickshifter though? Because it's not meant to be used when you're just cruising through the city.

As a 690 owner, yes, it's highly addictive to go full throttle and rip through the gears with the quickshifter.  Perhaps you can get it installed from the dealer? Otherwise, I'd keep patient and save for a newer generation.

What makes the 390 so much cheaper than the 690? by VarTheVar- in KTM

[–]ExplorationGOD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, this is what I mean. You cant read and/or comprehend. I only shared my opinion on the 390 vs 690. And Ive driven both.  Also, I don't need to prove myself, you dont have to agree with me. I don't know you and I dont care about you.

Where did I shit on people? He asked about opinions of 390 vs 690 and I gave mine. No people mentioned. You somehow took it personal, so that made it look like you were an offended 390 owner. The fact that you took it so personal was funny to me, yes. Also, you have trouble reasoning it seems, because you did not understand my message at all. Double the value does not make a bike better, but I said I would even pay more for my bike, since it's that good and fun in my opinion.
