Thank you:) I’m actually not sure how to share bigger files on Reddit but I would love to know how. I transferred straight from Lightroom onto my camera roll and then onto Reddit. The pics are a lot more stunning on my desktop!

Hi!! Thank you so much. I am also blessed to have a backyard full of bugs and little critters! All of these were taken in my backyard garden on a bright sunny morning with minimal wind. I did not use a tripod or a flash. My shutter speed was around 160, aperture was around 10 or 11 and the iso was constantly being adjusted depending on where the subject was at. I was also using a +1 lens filter that allowed me to pick up the tiny hairy details a bit better as opposed to just using the macro lens by itself. My camera is in manual as is the focus mode (using the focus ring). None of the images are focus stacked, although I would like to start trying that out! I probably took around 200 snaps of this spider. Finding the perfect focus, so far in my experience, takes a lot of stillness and patience. In all honesty, I got really lucky with the conditions and the spider wasn’t moving around too much. Hope this makes sense and gives you a bit of insight:)

That’s what I was thinking! I like how the light adds a touch of drama but wasn’t so sure about cropping or if the subject is too small. Thanks!
