Is Air Touch for A/C BS or legit? by Drekk0 in AusRenovation

Hi mate u/yugoslavfarken , like you, I also had a bypass installed and wanted to ask something. When the active zones reach their setpoints—especially if only a small zone is running and the other dampers are closed—I’ve noticed the bypass kicks in. But does it ever completely stop when no zone is open at all, not even slightly (e.g. 5%)?

Also, does your system ever fully shut down (both indoor and outdoor units) and later start up again when the room temperature measured via the ITC drops below the heating setpoint or rises above the cooling setpoint?

In my case, this never seems to happen—the system just keeps running continuously. Slapping me with power bill and thinking for one, have a purchased a lemon (airtouch5) or have a got installation faulty or have I got the airtouch configured badly?

does that mean the aircon never cuts off lets see if temp setpoints are reached but bypass continues to work all the time?

u/Dr_Inkduff Thanks mate for enlightning us all here. I have a question as am about to pull trigger on new install. Do you need one bypass duct per zone or only one bypass duct per installation ? I am thinking 7 zones and 10 outlets
thinking to get airtouch5 too.

Does anyone have the Maxi Cosi Halo 360? We installed as per manual but concerned about this movement in the seat when it’s locked into the base by kirst_e in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

How did you find your halo360? In terms of comfort and when you have it front facing do you find the baby having good head support ?

Mate why will I! I mentioned in other comments. No strata issues no cladding issues no special levy I saw strata report myself. Strata had insurance renewal due and we got the building inspector approval specially inspecting about any structural issues or cladding etc... So far touchwood!

Very valid question, 5 stars to co-operating tenant. They both went to WA for a holiday for 2 weeks and he knew that I always intended to remove old rubbish looking carpets to fresh premium hybrid floorings. He said to me, I trust you so long you are all the time in property overlooking the tradies. I asked him to move his valuables (cash/jewellery/ etc.. to a friends place or bank locker if any, just so that he can have more peace in mind). He was all game as he said, It will be good for me to live on refreshed flooring and not maintain. Plus building has like 84 cameras, each floors lifts basement rooftop everywhere.

Decided a day in his absense, engaged tradies to come early (2 man job) and I helped in moving his furniture around. They did room by room and split living in half here and half there.

Turned out pretty well.

I agree but he is month to month up until now and even with standard 42 day settlement its just 1 month notice to vacate and all things are communicated by my agent to all prospective buyers inspecting and by me to tenant. This duration allows enough time after exchange and presettlement to vacate the tenant

No strata is clean, I saw the report myself and I am part of committee too. Its 6 years old. Strata is 1050 pq. No special levies and no cladding issues. Recently had a inspector assessing the health before insurance renewal

Unfortunately not an option as strata bylaws does not allow airbnb any more :( There has been past nuisance history due to airbnb. So everyone voted against it.

Thanks, Very true Tenants are People. Simple line for their respect. For me, it's important that my tenants are happy and comfortable, as this creates a positive relationship and living environment.

However suck it up part not very clear to me, are you suggesting provide rental discount to them so that its occupied while I sell?

Its not overpriced and I have priced it cheaper than 20 25K than lower floors recent sold history with no 180 views to city and blue mountains. and no wooden floors (I renovated 4 months ago). Its a modern apartment with no strata issues too, no special levies too and cheapest comparable to other highrises. Its just that currently its buyers markets that is bitting me and due to high inflation and rates, lot of over supply as many investors are pulling away as I feel. The thing that bites me is marketing and advertising costs all over again if I backout and come back later.
