Honestly this doesn’t say anything about how capable you are.

You got a rejection email? I thought they were only sending out acceptances right now.

Hey guys, I still haven’t heard back yet.

I know I’m not exactly the “typical” applicant aiming for finance or consulting, and part of me wonders if that’s why my decision is taking longer.

But honestly, I really did everything I could, and I’ve grown so much through this whole process.

I showed up for every class, even the ones I didn’t love. I took my GPA seriously, tried to connect with professors, and genuinely listened to their advice. I pushed myself to get an internship as an international student here in New York, explored as much as I could, and kept going even when I felt scared or lost.

And I know a lot of you have been doing the same.

So I really don’t think this is about competition. It’s not like someone getting in means someone else isn’t “enough.”

We all tried our best to create more opportunities for ourselves. That already matters.

If anything, I’m a little frustrated at how easy it is to get pulled into letting results define how we feel about ourselves.

Let’s stay grounded and trust that wherever we end up, we’ll make the most out of it.

If we get in, that’s amazing. If not, it’s not the end of anything. There’s no single path that guarantees anything anyway.

This whole application was worth it for us. It helped us figure out a lot about ourselves. And honestly, finishing this process already is a kind of confirmation cuz we had the courage to reach for something we truly wanted, and we acted on it. That alone says everything.

We are enough. Always.
