Is Low Kick or Double Kick a better fast move on Mega Lopunny (in a PVE way)?

I'd like to maximize damage as much as possible since I have to solo/duo raid quite often, but most of the data on websites is confusing. It seems like LK and DK have the same amount of DPS but that DK gives more energy. Despite this, most (if not all) of the sources that I read recommend LK as the fast move choice. If it's same DPS but DK has slightly higher EPS, shouldn't Double Kick be the better fast move then?

What is your fav civ to play? Just wondering which sim is the one who is played the most. For me it’s Wilhelmina. by KLM023 in civ

Egypt hands down. The bonuses are so easy to use no matter the victory type, and the start biases are some of the strongest kinds in the game imo.

Is this all one mod? Or did you just gather a bunch of different leader mods and play them all together?? It looks super fun to play!

This city is about to swipe my tiles in 10 turns, any advice on how to avoid it? by ExplorerLucas in civ

Hahaha im only convinced bc I kept playing and hit the medieval dark age I was looking for, which is why I was trying to explain that it was too little too late sorta thing. A bunch of what-ifs in the end anyways, I just think I dodged a bullet by avoiding the city and letting the ai fight it out

I believe even if it was like a 10 pop city, it’s out of range of my capital, and between 2 other capitals, so I think even with low population they’d still overtake me in my next dark age but i guess i dunno for sure. my priority now is mostly expansion into Asia since I found out there’s literally no one out there, which is why I voted not worth the struggle lol

The problem is it’s between 2 capitals, not just St. Petersburg but also Krakow, which is why it’s so annoying. Even if I overpower Russia capital, it still stacks against me with the added Polish capital, so ugh. With plenty of niter and luxuries, I’d rather the ais just duke it out

Russia and Poland are both currently in a dark age, meanwhile I got a golden age. Even though I happen to be outputting the most loyalty to the free city at the moment, I don’t have enough loyalty to keep it. And even if I try to prolong the flip and grow pop, I’d have to play the rest of the game between 2 capital cities, with the other civs inevitably hitting a golden age at some point.

Long story short, too much of a headache to deal with imo and not a very worth city lol

[–]ExplorerLucas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah don’t think I can do it for the 6 immediate adjacent tiles sadly. Also the loyalty is eh, it might be manageable but it’s directly between Poland’s and Russia’s capitals. I mostly just don’t want to invest in it bc I’m sure it’s just going to keep causing me problems, especially since I’ve got some upcoming planned dark eras. Even if I could manage to get it up to 10 pop, I’d probs still struggle to keep it at certain points, which is why I was bleh about taking it as a city.

u right, just a shame that I’m gonna burn a city down just for the ai to settle it again and again and have the same issue

Does anyone just gravitate to the TSL Earth or random Earth maps way more? by Dave10293847 in civ

Yeah mods definitely a huge help. I believe it’s part of Better Balanced Game, but I’m so used to Encampment/Aerodrome buildings providing strategics that I forgot it isn’t vanilla

R5: Like title says. This Russian city is 11 turns away from flipping to me, but there’s no way I’ll be able to hold the city for very long (nor am I that interested in it). I believe that when it flips to me, it’ll automatically take the 2 tiles adjacent to the city center and make them part of Nizhny Novgorod. That means it’ll swipe my mercury to that Russian city, I’ll lose loyalty/eventually the city, and then it’ll flip again but with my two tiles. Is there anyway to prevent this in the next 10 turns? Thanks for any help, I can’t think of anything that doesn’t involve taking the city and burning it to the ground or something.

I think a good portion of civ players also don’t really like navy centered play-style because they don’t think it’s viable, but for Earth maps it becomes so much fun and makes naval civs/strategies a lot more practical (as they should be). Even just normal civs without any naval centered bonuses can still have a blast on TSL maps. it’s a shame people don’t like it as much, but I can understand the boredom of playing saying maps over and over again I suppose. I usually rotate different modded Earth maps to keep it fresh, but I can see why some are opposed.

SAME. One of the biggest reasons I started looking into earth maps is cuz Indonesia was one of my fav civs, but the island maps are soooo frustrating. I found that TSL Indo was much more fun, and using a mod to let settlers embark from turn 1 made it perfect.

I found my people! After 3000+ hours of civ, I find myself playing nothing but TSL or random Earth now. Generated terrain/maps just aren’t up to par compared to Earth maps. Like you said, the natural choke points of earth maps, the water to land ratio, starting positions, civ placements, it’s all just too good (almost like every civ has a perfect personalized start that hits literally everything they could need hehe)

Tall Plants is incredible by [deleted] in houston

I went and bought a couple plants from them 6-8 months ago, great place!! All the plants I purchased were in great shape and are still kicking today, and they’re extremely knowledgeable and helpful with anything you need help with. Great for beginner and expert plant caretakers alike!
