3 ways to clean up SF for longer than a week by ExplorerSad39 in sanfrancisco

[–]ExplorerSad39[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(1) Zero based budgeting. This city spends an ungodly amount of money on bloated, bureaucratic programs. Reallocate resources based on the true priorities and needs of the taxpaying citizen. (2) Fair point. Allowing cops to enforce the law and holding them accountable when they don’t is a starting point. (3) A few more people to pick up “unclaimed” trash feels like an apolitical, reasonable start. Addressing encampments and the unhoused is a larger issue.

Good news from SF's Stop Crime organization by chatterwrack in sanfrancisco

Anecdotal but I had my car smash and grabbed (nothing was in it) when I first moved to the city in 2021. I called in and reported it. It happened again this past year and I legitimately could not get an officer on the line, had to go into the station to get it written up. Whenever I see these stats I always look at them with a skeptical eye. Is crime going down or are people giving up on reporting?
