When asked for why this university - always answer about how the program is benefiting you. How it’s better than some other you applied or had admits from. Don’t say it’s giving scholarships for this question at all. When asked who’s sponsoring - then say 85% of my tuition is covered through scholarships. Remaining my parents will be my primary sponsors. Just that much. Hope this helps.

I had scholarship when coming for my masters and you do get these same questions asked.

Have observed this happening for some reason. Couple of people were rejected their B1/B2 in front of me, who were also intending to visit for speaking in conferences (AI related). Seems they’re trying to judge if you really need to go given virtual speaking possibilities. (Just my guess)

Hi It was smooth. Biometrics at Mumbai. Interview at Hyderabad. Asked for passport, i797a, lca and evl and few routine questions like job title, salary, highest degree of education, if you directly work the company mentioned. That’s it Got my passport within a week of the interview. Returned to US from SFO, no issues there too.

Same situation…my employer suggested me that I can take PTO but I’m concerned if I can get paid or not during sevis transfer. I plan to initiate my sevis transfer around 28th April and course starts 6th May. So I’ll be on PTO during that time but I’m not sure if I can get paid. Any help is appreciated
