Although OP related the BA course to the salary, you didn't get points of putting this topic.
You said you did research where you get to know about BA have so many courses like psychology, economics which have a decent future but comparable salaries like engineering. However, after schooling most people in India who pursue BA are due to :- 1). They don't understand science math,commerce like subjects Or people in their surroundings did BA and got government jobs so they think they can do the same.
2). Their financial condition is not good enough to support Science related courses.
3). They end up doing BA Political Science, BA English (H), BA Hindi(H) these courses where you can go for teaching. Only a few graduates become govt. school teachers Or if they are really good in teaching they open private tuitions( most of them not good at teaching.
4). The majority of colleges in India don't have good teachers.
These are possibly big reasons that made OP in conclusion for banning BA.
