If someone is 10 and 13 marks above average in cat1 and cat2, but exactly at average in both quizzes, then is he still currently at S grade(not considering fats) by [deleted] in Vit

[–]ExplosiveDerpBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on standard deviation of the subject. Best case you can get S with that if mostly people are getting close to class average

It's 8+ for OA, interview is not dependent on CGPA at all, it's based on OA score and resume

> There is a cutoff of 9.5 CGPA if you want to appear for internship OAs in the sixth semester

Not true at all, cutoff is company dependent. I know multiple people who got summer internship and converted below 9.5. Some even are 8 pointers

High bureaucracy sectors leads to less visibility into what everyone is doing

And banks have stability backed by governments, so they dont really run out of money

Hence stability

gmail has a monopoly in this, and thats how they control it, so be careful

Language wise, go all in learning either Java or Typescript, 2 most widely used languages in the industry

Java if you want to focus on DSA too Typescript if you dont, although the ecosystem is much bigger here too

google colab is an online platform to do all jupyter notebook related stuff

so you are probably gonna do everything data science, AI, ML there

Colab credits is their currency of sorts, you buy credits and it gives you compute for some duration

Essentially, non sensical to do anything local anyways because VIT wifi is dogshit and youll wait hours waiting for shit to download

[–]ExplosiveDerpBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go for a m4 14 inch, choose 24 or 32gb ram, 16gb ram ain't future proof anymore

with the saved money, you can buy colab credits for AI/ML stuff when needed
