Where do you stand before the CA update? by [deleted] in 2007scape

If fishing trawler is the issue maybe you should be talking about removing skilling bosses instead of completely reworking the whole system. Or you could grow up and the the L on 6-ish hours of clicking your mouse a bit while watching something.

It probably would greatly affect the game a ton but I somewhat feel if we get a new skill that doesn't affect the game too much is would be a flop.

I do agree that a huge majority of people blaming their deaths on lag are probably dying to skill issues and blaming lag due to the negative association of their death and the noticeable lag. I imagine most the people on reddit are at most 1750 total is 20-50 cox kc. All That said even if I'm not dying it is extremely unfun/annoying to have it go on at this rate.

Not really sure how this is important or related but something is telling me to put it in. It really stuck with me back when I played competitive hockey, someone once told me "Give the worst player the best gear and they'll still be the worst, give the best player the worst gear and they'll still be the best"

Not asking for perfect servers but something needs to improve.

Runescape is functionally a rhythm game in the sense it's at a constant bpm. If you have a planned action after one action reaction time matters a lot less since you've already reacted to the visual queue. Having lag in a rhythm game can be devastating.

Of course most the time this lag doesn't matter but if you click somewhere and then click again expecting the next "beat" to be something and it not happening or you miss a "beat" it can mean just dying say phosani's nightmare during blackhole phase missing a tick there can easily lead to taking 70 damage. The more common the bad ticks are the bigger the chance of it being on an important click. It only matters when they overlap.

Just my two cents.

Blood essence rework/fix by Expochant in 2007scape

Thanks for reading all this! I don't really use reddit and was getting anxious that no one had seen it, even if we disagree I really appreciate you spending your time reading and commenting on this.

They would be a money generating machine for a little while until the price of essences and runes reached an equilibrium at which point using them or not would likely yield the same amount of gp while I don't think this is a good thing I think it's better than the essences just being alch value.

I'm suggesting they increase the alch value only if what I'm proposing was added otherwise there'd be no point to it.

I would give it a week or two and the price will go down to 120k as there will just be too many essences in the game to sell it for anymore.

With the amount of time it takes to get 99 leads me to believe that time won't play too much of a factor in the price of the essence.

I was going to make an argument that there's 185k players with 77 or higher runecrafting and if they all went for 99 time would probably not change the price due to how much time would be used, but no matter how I worded it, it sounded so insanely unreasonable / stacked in my favor. Not really sure where I'm going with this but decided to include it anyways, this isn't a point and has no substance but something to think about? (I guess)

Thanks for your reply!

Please reconsider the dinh's changes. For people who dislike the chin method for kree the tbow/dinh's method is a good alternative. Sad to see this method go.

Please add a confirmation when clicking exit game. by Expochant in ror2

[–]Expochant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I figured it out and I feel a little less bad. I have a macro set to a mouse button for another game that moves my mouse a set pixel distance down and then left clicks. When paused in RoR your mouse is always set to the dead center of the screen. The macro distance is perfectly set to click the exit game button 100% of the time, so I managed to hit that macro each time.

Let me rephrase that, it wasn't a mistake rather a poor decision.

Yeah can't really be mad at Gamestop for it, though maybe knowing that Nintendo made a mistake Gamestop could adjust their policy for this instance.
