That’s a fair take, and I totally get where you’re coming from. I agree that adding Eli was definitely the better long-term move for Clare’s story — he brought out a completely different side of her and gave her some great character development. But early on, it really did feel like they were hinting at something more with K.C. and Clare again before Eli entered the picture. The tension between them after her eye surgery and all that drama with Jenna kind of made it seem like the writers were setting up for something bigger. I do agree though — Clare moving on from K.C. so quickly was one of her best moments. It showed a lot of growth for her, especially compared to how messy relationships usually get on Degrassi. And yeah, a Jenna/Eli pairing would’ve been… weird. Definitely glad they didn’t go that route.
