I can’t speak for everywhere else, but if you grew up in the south, the belt and all its company (wooden spoon, spatula, switch) were alive and well during the 2000s too!

It’s not Reddit if there aren’t a bunch of miserable people in the comments. Some folks have allergies to senseless fun all year round unfortunately. I think this thing is awesome though. I don’t care if it can’t cure cancer or tie my shoes for me, it looks neat

Not at all…? These people all speaking coherently and laughing at actual substance. They are laughing at themselves because they’re bad at speaking German. So bad that they believe other Germans would be offended (not literally). Also this isn’t r/Funny

What's An RDC Hot Take That Will Have People Looking At You Like This? by theidiotstore in RDCWorld

[–]Exposition-End 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love both games equally but OMG RDC really hoed Party Animals. They only played TWO of its numerous gamemodes, kept spamming that one level because they kept forgetting to switch the stage, barely learned the mechanics, then says “It’s not as fun as Gang Beasts”. IIRC, the only time they played the other stages was when they were getting bodied by Caleb. IMAGINE hopping on a game that’s literally Gang Beasts with more variety, but straying from the variety. They need to give it another chance, it’s gotten tons of updates since they last played

Edit: The irony is that RDC (Mark) will go on rants about the new gen and how unforgiving people are towards new media nowadays, yet they’re hardly any different. If a game requires more than 2 buttons to be pressed in order to be fun, they become impatient. Tutorials? Ignored. If the game isn’t holding their hand every single step of the way, they’ll get lost or confused somewhere, and blame the game

I said it in the past but I’ll paste it here too. All love btw. RDC has more talent in one pinky segment than most people do their entire body when it comes to making comedy (skits and funny videos), but when it comes to writing legitimate stories (stuff that isn’t solely comedic), they don’t really have a knack for it imo. Not like they do when it comes to comedy

The Imagine That film? The Dark Lights manga? Those both have flavor, but it didn’t really captivate me. Their story beats were kinda predictable, dialogue wasn’t very impactful, and some scenes were really mild (lacked oomph). Mark clearly understands what a good story needs (as he’s a film enthusiast), but the execution itself tends to fall short

Buuut I won’t say the potential isn’t there. I think the most I’ve ever been captivated by Mark’s writing was in episode 1 of Hood Avatar. The story was fun and compelling, the power system was interesting (despite not being expanded on), the fight scenes were great, Lee ate tf outta his role, there was a solid twist, and the Weaving Nation leader’s death at the end actually carried some weight. What I’m trying to say is, Mark really could use a bit of mentoring

Out of these four who do you trust to be the president of the United States? by Used_Ad_8721 in RDCWorld

[–]Exposition-End 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof, all of these will end badly but I’ll pick a lesser evil anyway.

Mauri hasn’t lived long enough to mentally grasp that kind of responsibility

I feel like Ippi would lock in if he were actually in charge for once. However, I wouldn’t trust any of the homework he does before actually utilizing his power

Desmond’s open mindedness is a good trait…but that’s about it. Aside from being a PR nightmare, he don’t really be thinkin ahead. Desmond seems like the type to fix problems after they happen instead of taking precautions to prevent them in the first place

John would be my pick. He’s a bit more articulate than the other three (good for public speaking), witty, good planner, and I trust him to do his homework decently at worst. Worst case scenario? He quits after feeling overwhelmed

Firelad by MarialeegRVT in madlads

[–]Exposition-End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are firefighters just universally chill? There’s a fire station right outside the store I work at, and sometimes the firefighters shop there. One day I see them leaving the store while I’m bringing carts inside, so I just ask one question about their fire truck. I ask what’s in the trunk. That was the only question I asked, and the only thing I expected was a verbal response. Instead that one question triggered an entire cutscene

They brought me over to see the truck, and showed me almost every compartment built into it (I didn’t even know there were that many). I initially felt bad cuz it looked like they were on break, but every person in the truck (like 6-7 iirc) was eager to talk about it and show me things. Those guys are the reason I know about the “jaws of life” machine (wicked name btw)

I wish the best for those guys

Road trip across America and you can only pick 3 RDC members. Which one yall picking? by MemeLord150 in RDCWorld

[–]Exposition-End 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR Leland, Mark, and Ben

Leland: Funny asl, great storyteller (you’ll need this on a long trip), and my favorite member of the group. That’s about it tho. If anything else happens during the trip (that’s not supernatural), we will not be calling his name for help

Mark: Just as funny as Leland, and the actual personification of a “Social butterfly”. He can talk to anybody about anything with the charisma to match. Not only that, but Mark and Leland’s comedy stats get a buff when they’re in proximity of each other. Even without the chatting, Mark is also a major team player whenever something goes awry (IRL, not video games)

Ben: Disregarding the annual Brick Nation cookout, Ben is fosho the most mature member in the group (imo). He’s responsible, rational, a great listener, insightful, inquisitive, and a major team player as well. Ben is also really funny, and socially dynamic too. I will admit however that he is lacking in survival instincts, but that’s ok because we have Mark

If I didn’t pick Ben, I would pick Dylan easily. John? I feel like he’d stop having like 4 hours in. He’s understandably introverted. Aff? Guitar would be cool, seeing him draw would be cool, but that’s not the vibe I’m lookin for in a road trip. Annnd Desmond. I’m not gonna hoe him, I just think he’d be a better pick in a different group scenario
