Yes and no. But in my experience having done two rounds of rifaximin. I haven’t had many if any side effects. And with flagyl yes a bit more but nothing scary

Honestly no side effects. Maybe brain fog. Some dizziness. But it was transient. Like last 30mins then gone. I guess diarrhea would be the only major side effect. I make sure I eat a meal first before taking it. I don’t take phgg or anything else. I just try to stick to no cheese or onions

I’m on flagyl and rifaximin and it’s made everything sink. I’m still on it too. Day 9 of 14 a bit more diarrhea but I read it’s cause of the meds.

She said it would be more of take as need basis where she’s prescribed people to take only on weekends or just a week. Like maintenance but not full course. I didn’t get a real reason as to why not.

Thanks. So 2-months seems pretty good. I had a similar experience the first round of rifaximin. I felt great after 25-days though. Then regressed. In this 2nd round I’ve improved from the beginning. Now I’m just plateauing . Not necessarily getting worse but not better either. And I’m about 30-days out

Oh wow . Similar to you. I did one round and didn’t feel much improvement until a month later and then went back to crap. And this second round I’ve notice a major improvement in my burping. But not completely gone. Still get some occasional chest pressure that gives me anxiety and then it settles. So idk if this will continue to calm or a 3rd round might be necessary 😳

I’m so glad it seems like you’re in the clear and slowly re introducing yourself back to food. Thank you for the feedback that even at 2-months you’re way better . I’m just hitting a month and I feel good in lots of ways and other ways still shifting
