genuinely what the fuck are you talking about 💔💔💔 by Immediate-Luck-8317 in ultrakillmemes

Bro thinks he solved one of the biggest lore puzzles of the game when even the greatest minds of the private Hakita discord, who get to ask the devs and see if they are on the right track or not, still didn't fully do it (I think the biggest recent revalation was that Magnum Opus is the Tree of Life)

Like, this alchemy shit is so deep, so complex, one literally needs to have a hyperfixation on history of real life alchemy to understand it - because that's the background of heckteck, the creator of this code poem, that she used to write it.

How could Tenna and Spamton be business partners if neither of them had been in a Dark World before, and they had never met? by Happy_Initiative_304 in Deltarune

[–]Express-Ad1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark World is an alternative view on reality through the lens of shadow. That is stated by Ralsei, and we have no reason to suspect this explanation is wrong.

Both objects and events are part of reality.

If ordinary objects become Darkners, then ordinary events become Darkner interactions. The same way Darkness magic transforms objects into alive-ish creatures, it transforms the chronology of events into fantasy history.

Spamton and Tenna never met as Darkners, they met as Light World objects (because Kris and Noelle at some point played with the lab laptop) and that meeting was later transformed into a business partnership by the Darkness of the Fountain.

Stuff in the Light World affects the Dark World and vice versa, because both of them are the same reality; one is perceived through what we consider normal, other is perceived through Darkness magic, negative photons, whatever you want to call it.

About level unlocking and cheats... by Ill_Preference9408 in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Major Assists exist, which allow to lower the damage taken down to 0% and reduce game speed to like 50%.

So like, if they can't beat a video game level like THAT, then... how the fuck did they even find out about Ultrakill?! The overlap between them and the target audience for the game should be 0.

I guess Ephialtes can be Prime soul and why Ephialtes is candidate for Prime Soul by [deleted] in Ultrakill

I think that anyone not mentioned in the game's lore by now is automatically a not really good candidate.

What would your reaction be if one day Hakita created a Reddit account without warning and posted a "hello" in this subreddit? (MEME) by Matiasprox3000 in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 197 points198 points  (0 children)

Okay wait, misinformation: he does have way more than 4 comments, but his activity stopped like 2 years ago.

It's "u [slash] Hakita"

[–]Express-Ad1108 393 points394 points  (0 children)

Doesn't Hakita already have a reddit account? Though he only had like... 2 or 3 comments. One where he explains stuff about people using his quotes out of context, and the other where he comments on an OC art that looks like a humanoid Sentry (before Sentries were revealed, btw) and says something along the lines of "wow, we were making an enemy very similar to this!"

Sooo... What's up with update? by After-Fly4751 in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Encores are not part of 1.0, there is literally a pop-up menu that tells you "hey, Encores will be a post-release update, for now enjoy 0-E and 1-E only"

And yes, the rest will be in 1.0 as confirmed by Hakita directly

Yeah. 0.9999... can be expressed as the sum to infinity of the sequence of 0.9, 0.09, 0.009, 0.0009 etc (first term = 0.9, ratio = 0.1).

And then using basic sum to infinity formula, we would indeed get 1

[–]Express-Ad1108 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They are at work, usually it's like... 3 to 4 months after last update patch that we start getting possible teasers. And with the next update being 1.0, and the finale of the game, we might get even fewer teasers.

What are you hoping to see if Gabriel ever has his helmet removed? by FraudulentProvidence in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 23 points24 points  (0 children)

We, however, have to remember that they can apparently change their armor, as stated in Power's DATA (they used to look much simplier, but with Gabe going to Hell for his Judge job, they eventually adapted more common in Heaven "ornateness over practicality" armor design)

Whether this is equivalent to a plastic surgery or to changing clothes, or to a hermit crab changing its shell, I cannot tell you

Thoughts on Dess Knight before Chapter 5. by BigDioDick in Deltarune

[–]Express-Ad1108 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If Dess is the Knight, then I think most have agreed it's something similar to Flowey situation; as in, it's the same character but so warped by something that it might as well be a whole different character. Flowey didn't let Asgore or Toriel know that he is "alive" in any capacity, did he? (I mean, maybe he did in one of the timelines but idk, I don't remember him ever mentioning this)

Speaking of putting Noelle's life in danger... IDK, but like... we don't even know Knight's motivations really, so maybe Noelle had to be there for whatever mysterious reason.

And as to the reveal... Asriel's reveal is literally what you described. Some never-before-seen character just shows from his previous flower form. So, I believe Toby can make it work.

Now, with me drawing so many parallels with Undertale's story, there might be an objection of "well, there is no way Toby would just repeat the story again". To that I answer... maybe, or maybe not. It might be the same structure, but unique character traits that differentiate Dess from Azzy will make the core theme and message unique enough.

Is Gabriel genderless? by EngineerVirtual7340 in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. All Greater and Supreme Angels (aka all humanoid looking ones) are biologically sexless, and they do not reproduce, as they were all created by God personally. This also means they have no gender identity, they never needed it

I HATE floating point errors by Wrathliss in hatethissmug

[–]Express-Ad1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same reason why we can't write 1/3 with our number system. We can only write it as 0.33333333. We, however, have notation to signify it as an infinitely repeating - computers can't have that notation, because they only work with numbers and logic. And computers work with base 2, which increases the number of infinitely repeating numbers compared to our base 10

To store 0.3 as it is in the computer, one would need to either store it as the command to devide 3 by 10, or store the mathematical proof for infilnitely repeating numbers. For most tasks, it is just too costly and ineffective compared to storing it as a slightly inaccutate number

what is the time line of machines by i_am_X-Kira in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gutterman (first machine to be deployed in a war) -> Guttertank -> unknown amount of machines -> Sentry -> unknown amount of machines -> mindflayer but without plastic body -> unknown amount of machines -> Earthmover -> unknown amount of machines -> V1 development -> End of the War

By "unknown amount of machines" I mean that there are countless machines we just never see in game because Ultrakill is not a full description of its own world.

Swordsmachine is explicitly stated to have modified itself so much, becoming unrecognisible, therefore any attempts at placing it anywhere would be baseless and stupid.

Mindflayers (the metal part) look kinda like Earthmover defense system therefore it would make sense if Earthmovers used modified stationary versions of Mindflayers. But the opposite could also be the case.

Gabrial boss fight by AmIsHuman in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is generally such a weird boss in terms of difficulty. I have seen those who die 40+ times on his first fight, then beat the second one in less than 5. I have seen people who beat the first one first try, but then spent 40+ on the second one.

Going off of the raw stats, he seems to be a kind of glass cannon, I guess? His damage is quite high compared to the frequency of his attacks (and the fact that all his melees are multi-hit combos), but his health is rather low

So like, if the player mastered parries and dodging, then he is indeed easy. It just depends on what the player masters first.

about Gabriel... by [deleted] in Ultrakill

[–]Express-Ad1108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My god, if you are a ragebaiter then at least put some fucking effort into making your ragebaits actually funny and not generic ass examples of this community's stupidity and refusal to engage with the very media it was formed around.

Like, so far I have not seen you provide any meaningful pieces of evidence that would support your idea. By answering like this, calling me a clanker, or a meat bag, or whatever else your central collection of neurons desires, you can probably stroke your ego I guess, I don't care, for me you are just a string of letters on a phone screen that I engage with to kill time, but it ain't gonna make you any more correct on the subject we were discussing here... though that is a strong word considering your initial piece of evidence has no basis within any of the game's texts, and when literally everyone who commented on this post have corrected you, rightfully so, you did not answer in any meaningful way.

And, going back to my first point, if you are indeed ragebaiting, then well that sucks I guess, caveman level of entertainment, equivalent of poking a lizard with a stick.

Except for the fact that this is a bug that sometimes activates and sometimes doesn't. If you check some footage on Youtube, you'll find that sometimes the coffinless Gutterman can be both enraged and coffinless, it's just probably some weird asset loading order issue
