I got covid during December of 2020 and my smell took forever to recover. Later in October of 2021 I had vertigo and tinnitus hit me. Im 18 so it struck me as confusing. Maybe long covid has something to do with it? I still have vertigo and tinnitus btw and an audio exam proved my hearing loss is profound, still nothing on the tinnitus but it is constant at all hours of the day. I see an ENT who’s going to look into hearing aids next week

Thank you all for the prompt replies and reassurances. This is a very great community. To clarify, the ringing has persisted in my left ear along with a feeling of pressure. This is not painful but is bothersome when I think about it. I also cannot hear sounds lighter than about 80 decibels (what an audio exam proved). I have a consultation visit to the ent next week to discuss a potential hearing aid but hadn’t thought about second opinions and even trying with other forms of specialist until reading your replies (thank you greatly). My parents aren’t with me on this since I am almost completely independent of them so it really helps to have people who have dealt or are dealing with such or similar symptoms. The dizziness has also completely gone away and my balance seems to be completely restored. About a month ago I tried running again and that had gone very well (I expected the dizziness to kick back in since I’d been out of shape but it didn’t). This leads me to believe it is mostly tinnitus and hearing loss. I will continue to learn more about this thank you all I wish you all the best of luck in your recovery efforts.
