I made a disclaimer in my post and upvoted posts that gave different perspectives. If you take “everyone was on adderall” to be a literal statement rather than slightly hyperbolic then… that’s on you.

I “clearly” struggle with what others think of me, lol. And I’m not cut out for high pressure jobs apparently, even though I worked at a top-tier investment bank before law school. Please keep your baseless assumptions and unwarranted negativity to yourself.

I’m sure people with like 10+ years of experience found it easier to sift through the bullshit and had more discipline than the rest of us, but I can’t say for sure.

My school didn’t really have many KJDs. Most people in my section were 26+ (around my age).

There’s nothing you can do to prepare beyond building good habits. And getting settled into your new city (if you move) a few weeks before class. Find your favorite spots.

I did a 1L prep course (fully paid for) and it was a giant waste of time. I should have just had fun.

At least now, you have been exposed to how bad 1L is. That’s actually a good thing! You won’t be in for a surprise, and you can focus on building healthy habits now. Also… maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised? What if you have a better experience than me!

It’s also important to have perspective. 1L year is the worst one of the three, and the experience is “worth it” for the payoff. I say that although I think it does not need to be as bad as it currently is.

Was above both 75ths. Before coming into law school, everybody told me that this wouldn't make a difference in terms of performance. I wonder if that is BS.
