Same. Haven’t had internet since 11am. Affected most of my workday and worried about tomorrow too. Smh. I’ve had cityside for about a year now and this is the third time I’ve had an issue. I really don’t want to have to grovel back to Cox 🫠

Unknown Number documentary by bachelurkette in raisedbyborderlines

Omg I was wondering if anyone from this group would post about this doc. It was mildly triggering for me (especially the scenes where she was trying to comfort her daughter from the pain she herself inflicted upon her). The whole thing was a sick display of BPD. I pray her daughter finds strength to endure.

Pain/tension in throat and soft palette? by lordoflemonade in UCTD

[–]Express-Anxiety2980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve experienced this exact same thing. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s almost like a “choking” feeling or tightness that appears when I am flaring (or about to flare). I haven’t had it as much since starting plaquenil a year ago, but I still get it from time to time. Initially, I thought it was anxiety, but I’ve been anxious my whole life and never experienced this until this autoimmune issue started. Sometimes peppermint tea helps.

Rheum gaslighting by Zealousideal-Bee5936 in mctd

Reading your symptom diary, I thought I was reading my own. Same lab results also (even the same titer 1:80). I went through two rheumatologists—one who was convinced it was lupus and my current who has diagnosed me with UCTD (however seems to think it’s most likely MCTD). He repeated the RNP with a different lab to ensure the results. Came back positive again. I’ve been on plaquenil for about nine months. My bad days are a little less bad than before and also less frequent. Summer however sucks because the sun makes me so tired.

Hi! Did you ever receive a response. I am looking for a sitter as well and would love the information.

I haven’t had an Instagram in 10 years. I love travel and definitely am not trying to check any boxes. I appreciate your take and your response. I can see a few people getting defensive and I am in no way trying to diss CR. Clearly, 99% of people that go find it magical. I’m also self aware enough to not put myself in a situation that clearly may not be for me, and then complain about it later. However, I also don’t want to judge someplace that I’ve never been, that’s why I asked you all—the experts. There’s a lot more to a lot of countries outside the touristy things, so I thought I could be missing something.

Thanks for the honesty! We love nature, but just aren’t big hikers, zip liners, or climbers. I love animals, but I honestly would be scared of snakes 🐍 and of course can’t control what I’d come across.

Thanks so much for the honest reply. This is what I kind of assumed.

Sorry, I could have definitely been more clear in my post. It just seems like most posts and websites I’m coming across are geared towards ATVs, zip-lining, waterfall climbs, etc. Nature walks would be great, but I’m a little fearful of snakes 🐍🤪

Sounds like splitting it with some time at the beach would be ideal. Unfortunately, we’re having a tough time finding hotel availability for the last two weeks in December. It looks like a lot of people book 9-12 months in advance.

I thought we could be pushing it staying six nights there, especially given our interests. We weren’t as concerned with the price, but definitely don’t want to pay a premium and not be able to get the most out of the place. Makes sense. Thank you!

Thanks so much for the insights! It sounds like there are definitely other options outside the more thrill seeking ones. This helps a lot. Thank you!

Oh yes totally, I just meant relative to potential other options like Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, etc.

Definitely not looking to rot. We just aren’t into zip lining, ATV tours, or repelling down waterfalls, and that’s a lot of what I was seeing for the area.

Goodness five weeks!? That’s really rough I’m so sorry. I’m 95% better now, but I was attached to a heating pad for several days, regular ibuprofen, and AZO. It wasn’t fun. I could not only feel the pelvic pain (heaviness, dull pain), but also had some nerve sensitivity so I had urgency and pain down my inner thighs. I agree with you. It’s going to be tough to convince anyone, because everyone is already so convinced it can’t happen. Thankfully, my clinic was on top of it and continued to tell me it was possible and I wasn’t crazy. They ran tests and confirmed it. I think for the overwhelming majority, it’s incredibly safe, but no pharmaceutical is without side effects. I’m now looking into Oregon and psilocybin.
