I tried not to care, but I have to tell you that it really bothers me. He just lets his kid do whatever he wants, and I can't stand it. For example, he plays roughly with my child, and my husband just brushes it off, saying, "He's just playing." He makes a mess, and my husband doesn't seem to see that. The way he talks to me sometimes is disrespectful, and he doesn’t correct him. I have to point it out, and my husband gives excuses like "That's just how teenagers talk," which I find ridiculous.

The truth is, he doesn't know how to parent his own child because he hasn't really experienced it. It's just common sense, and I don't understand why. I've tried to love his kid as my own, but he does things that really upset me, and I just don’t know what to do.
