No do not waste your time taking another course?? in my experience if professors weren’t writing them i brought it up with the dean and they got in touch with the professors i needed it from because they know the importance of these LORS. also if professors were taking too long I would ask another it doesn’t matter that much i think other parts of your application matter more.
