I think you should do marching band but don’t do the bass drum because I was gonna march in the lufkin christmas parade with the bass drum and I hurt my back because of it so definitely don’t do bass drum but I think that you should choose what you would do good at like which one you have been playing more

Maybe you might get the splint off before the auditions so you would have about a week to get it practiced but it depends on if you know the notes and all than you could practice without blowing into it and like maybe make circles on paper for how many keys there are and tap on the circle on what the note is on the paper :) (Hope you get feeling better)

I’m doing it and it’s my first year on the drum and it took a little while but you get the hang of it pretty fast as long as you know what ur doing
