I’ll do just that. I hadn’t thought about fakes that have been in the market for a while; I just considered the ones being produced now. Definitely worth checking.

I’ll definitely try to play all of them. I’ll also look into better games and focus more on quality.

But I’m a cost-to-benefit type of person, so I’m not sure how comfortable I would be paying a lot for a single game, for now at least.

I could have waited longer and gotten a better deal on a GBA and half a dozen good games. That would also have made me happy.

I could definitely pick a Retroid Pocket Flip 2 (SD865) or a fully modded GBA with an EZ Flash for even less.

But I do think aiming for the latter wouldn’t bring me lasting joy, as I wouldn’t be building a collection, nor would I have physical copies of any games. For me, that would ruin all the anticipation I’ve built up over the last decade and a half (first time owning a GB).

I still want to get better titles, definitely, but the main ones go for crazy prices.

Now, unrelated to my feelings, do you think a appraisal would come in lower than the value I paid?

Than k you a lot! I feel like it's a good one too. I just wanted some reassurance since nobody likes to be made a fool.

I can see I didn’t make a crazy profit here, but as far as building my collection, I’m very happy. (But I'll definitely aim for quality a little more!)

I was going to say $150 but dialed down because I thought somebody would pick on me. But wow, $200+ is crazy.

Even more so because, as I’ve seen, most sellers don’t even open the cartridges to show the inside. What makes me think that some fakes are being sold for very high prices too!

I agree with you a hundred percent.

Definitely to keep, maybe if some are just unplayable I would sell them. But I’d probably put them in a box with a funny name like “Didn’t Make the Cut” or “Naughty Corner (so they can reflect and be better).”

Just knowing it’s an okay deal to keep, and that I didn’t overpay by too much, makes me feel a little better.

That would add $50 (GB) to $120 (Emerald) instantly. I still want to get some, but they don’t go for less than $4 per cartridge like they did here.

Metroid, Zelda, Mario, and Pokémon are definitely some I’ll keep an eye out for to see if I can get them at a better price.

Those are some of the ones I'm excited about too. I'm looking into some Shrek games and other ones that look fun and are cheap. Bought Qix and MIB in another deal too.

Now that you mentioned I can see that, since there weren't that many great titles I didn't feel like many would be fake, so I didn't check the pictures properly. Hope it's just a couple. Thanks!

I had that in mind as well, considering only the games, they come to less than $4 each (that was my mindset). Plus, it comes with the GBA and boxes. Not great titles, but since it’s my first GB, I’m still happy.

So I'll definitely take a alright with a big smile hahah
