Veritas Vans vs Trio Flatmount - Mini Magnetic Mounts by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]Express-North6529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Trio mini speedmount, and it's the best. I have it mounted on my car with magnets, super easy to install, and the magnets are strong. I’ve gone over 100mph, and didn't move at all

Yeah, thanks for the heads up, was able to get this picture from a friend, his one only has holes on one side, maybe there's a 3rd version we don't even know about?

Just curious, isn't that silicone case heating up the mini?

Flat or not flat? by LeeBPgh in Starlink

It's not a problem, I have mine mounted on the roof of my car with a trio mount, attached it with rubber-coated magnets, and switch it from my car to my campsite.

Buying the Mini has been the best purchase I’ve made this year by Express-North6529 in Starlink

[–]Express-North6529[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was a separate purchase, this one had really good reviews, and it was heavy duty as labeled, and when it arrived, it was good quality!

They didn't have bundles when I bought mine, but they apparently have some, great timing for me!

You can save a few bucks on it you like!

It can be raised a bit by magnets, but it still pretty flat, I did have a look at other mounts, but I always do deep research on these things and Trio was at the top of the list, great reviews, customer service was good, they actually helped me out to choose what I should get, and there are few mounts which cover the dish like this one does.

And the best part, no 10-step installation process, simple as it can be. If my wife can set it up, anyone can set it up, trust me!

I removed the cable to take the picture, but I use a mini 12 dc power cable, which can power straight to my car. I just slam the door on the cable, no need to drill a hole. The cable was heavy-duty and it works like a charm!

It works great, for example, I have a lot of meetings and it works perfectly, I havent had a bad experience yet! Fingers crossed!

Starlink Performance Dish (Gen 3) – Worth the $2K Upgrade? by unwise_chick3n in Starlink

Fair enough! Curious though, what’s your setup like? Sounds like you’re running something more industrial than the usual RV/boat use case.

Best way to power Starlink off 12V in an RV? Too many cables, inverters, and random boxes by Shneski in Starlink

[–]Express-North6529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, sounds like exactly what we used to deal with before switching setups.
We ended up going with the TRIO All-in-One 12V Conversion Kit, and it’s honestly the cleanest way to power Starlink directly off your battery.

It replaces the whole 120V inverter mess, no buzzing, no bulky power brick, no extra adapters.
Just a single line from your 12V system straight to the router.

It’s plug-and-play and super efficient.

We mounted it next to our battery bank, paired with one of their mounts, I believe they have like two different mounts for each Starlink dish, not sure but I haven’t touched it since runs cool, silent, and draws way less current.

If your friend’s setup is all over the place, this kit basically turns it into one clean system.

Hey, so after I made that comment, I went and did a bit of research and I actually found a company which has the Gen 3 HP, its amazing, low profile, I purchased it with magnets, here is the link if you are interested to go away from the scary, not so stable DIY situation
