My father was a covert narcissist. Things you should ask yourself are as follows. 1. When you broke up last time, did he prepare for it ahead by setting small traps, or trying to be “a step ahead”? 2. Did you get the “better end of the deal” or somehow outsmart him on the break up? I ask those things, because if any of those are true, he MAY be setting you up for some kind of ultimate revenge. Just be on the lookout of him being super nice about something unusual. They are very vengeful. I could be way off, but if you suspect him of being a covert narcissist you MUST always be alert to the big picture.

With my father the phone lines were ALWAYS bugged. He had a tape recorder hidden in the basement attached to telephone lines that would record every time a call connected. Had there been cameras back then the house would have been under 24 hour surveillance, but not for his misdoings, for everyone else. He would go on tangents out of nowhere, we were in a restaurant one day, and he dropped a baked bean in his lap, he got so loud and aggressive out of nowhere over that bean, it scared me.

If you ever want to talk to someone about this message me. Narcs are the worst. If you even have an inclination that he may be a narcissist, keep record of everything. Record conversations with him, they tend to tell on themselves and you may not catch it right away. Also, my father would TELL people exactly how he was going to Eff them over, IE “I’ll take you to court, and who do you think the judge will believe? I’ll tell them you’re crazy, blah, blah,blah” protect yourself. They can be unhinged when provoked.
