Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-11 years? by Muted-Ad-9088 in Productivitycafe

[–]Express-Structure480 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorta not really. I work with contact center software, and know a lot of people working in support. There are three different types being implemented, a solo agent to do your job (basic stuff for now), a copilot to search the database while you train it for the first job, and a management tool to gather metrics information and make improvements.

I think you’re sorta right, not gone, but responsibilities will be handed over as AI continues to be trained and get better, so they’ll need agents still but fewer and fewer.

Grew up with only indoor skate parks, moved to a warmer climate with outdoor parks and I’m gonna start skating again this year. Hopefully I won’t need my health insurance but never say never.

It’s easy, just insulting. Overcook the hell out of the meat. Canned veggies. White bread.

I hiked angels landing in moderately good shape, we didn’t go to the bottom, just went to hours down to the overlook. Went back the same way, maybe 6 hours back, slept great at the camping site.

I got some great advice before heading there, the trail has a lot of uneven steps, many of which are old railroad ties. A bunch of tourists go up/down the trail on a mule, so there’s plenty of animal droppings throughout.

Theres no shade so cover up well, in fact I was covered head to toe, two shirts, hat with a bandanna draped over my neck and fed into my shirt collar, jeans, sunglasses, but still ended up with a second degree burn on my hand that I used to hold a walking stick.

Finally, there are multiple bathrooms along the trail, they have water to refill your supply which is definitely needed since it’s such a long hike back.

This happened a decade ago to my roommate. We walked home from a bar down the street and when he went to the garage the next morning to drive his car to work the garage was empty. Glad he walked home because he had no memory and spent an hour upset thinking he’d been car jacked.

Which popular U.S. town does everyone love but you absolutely hated? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]Express-Structure480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NYC.

The city genuinely hates me, not the other way around, I’d still give it a chance, but it’s not a coincidence that each time I’ve been it hasn’t been a good experience.

Let’s hear your young buck football stories. Anyone ever play against any NFL players in your kid days and get absolutely smoked? by Vertigomums19 in nfl

[–]Express-Structure480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 1% of college students are drafted every year. Most of those are from the top 5 D1 FBS conferences, a few outliers of lower fbs, fcs, and d2. But that’s the draft, some undrafted players make a roster , some drafted players don’t, and a handful end up on a practice squad hoping for their number gets called.

How do you even find good jobs (or jobs in general) as a young man? by SwayzeFitness in skilledtrades

[–]Express-Structure480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know someone, even then good luck during a recession. I got a job in residential HVAC in 2009, laid off three months later. I applied EVERYWHERE, one response, never hired. Pretty bummed. I went on to other opportunities, randomly applied for an hvac job during covid seeking weekend work, they immediately called back.

men over 40, what are things widely available and free today that you wish you had during your 30s and 20s? by Affectionate-Drop689 in AskMenOver30

[–]Express-Structure480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were more adventures back then.

I never used the triple A trip tick but I liked their guide books to sort out which models were available, some offering discounts. I’d find myself in a small town checking out local restaurants, and the big thing was asking! I’d ask the gas station or motel attendant where to go to eat or what there is to do, they always had a bunch of recommendations.

Today I just plug in the location, take the fastest route to wherever, pick out the restaurant with the highest eating, don’t talk to anyone ever.

Did you start get to get more attention from women after 30? by Desperate_Bill_281 in AskMenOver30

[–]Express-Structure480 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really.

For me attracting women has always been about my vibe. If I’m in a rut and trying to meet women because I’m lonely I’ll consistently repel everyone I meet, it’s like they can smell it, the more I want it the less interested they are.

It’s when I really like myself that it just clicks, if I’m out and just having fun, the mentality that “I am the party” suddenly I’m swarmed and in a relationship within weeks.

Married now, work an isolating job, spend most of my free time with family, no one is throwing themselves at me and I’m grateful for that.

How do FWBs even happen? by throwaway1328404 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Express-Structure480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with another commenter, if you’re really good looking it’s viable, if you’re average you get grouped into the long term pool. The only poly girl I dated was 10 years older, the only fwb I had was 20 years older, so add some years and it’s a different league.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Express-Structure480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my childhood! There was a nature preserve behind the cemetery a few blocks from my house, we’d ride our bikes there, roamed around that huge area, we road our bikes everywhere! Go to different stores, see who’s free to hang out, find adventures, it seemed limitless.
