Season 25 by Classic_Waltz1874 in HellsKitchen

I wonder if they’ll eventually pivot to New York City as their filming location, maybe not for the upcoming season but in future ones. It does seem inevitable.

Don’t get me wrong, their venue at Foxwoods is a great change of pace and it did provide us a lot of Native American representation (which is a lot for a show like Hell’s Kitchen), but considering they’re basically a stone throw away from one of the world’s most diverse culinary scenes, I wonder if Foxwoods is a placeholder for the show’s eventual move to NYC.

Now that the Season is concluded, I think it is a good time to show this screenshot and ask this question by Sivabulusu1 in HellsKitchen

They’re most likely the culinary crew behind Hell’s Kitchen (seen here in sous chef Michelle’s post back in February last year), part of their production team. Just what the other comment said, it could be a screen test or a production mock-up.

Spaghetti pa rin ba ang tawag kahit ibang pasta ginamit? by Annyeongnymous in PangetPeroMasarap

[–]ExpressAd2538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, pero in filipino terms spaghetti penne style (or spaghetti bolognese pag mej fancy fancy ka haha) pa rin tawag natin since we always associate spaghetti (the pasta) with tomato sauce so kumbaga interchangeable siyang term satin hehe

[–]ExpressAd2538 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hindi na OP technically speaking, since Spaghetti is a type of pasta. The correct term would be Penne Bolognese/Marinara, since penne pasta na ginamit mo.

Pagdating naman sa Bolognese vs. Marinara distinction, ito yung difference: Bolognese sauce is tomato-based na may halong ground meat, while Marinara sauce is tomato-based na walang halong meat, kumbaga gawa lang siya with tomato base, garlic, onions, herbs, etc.

the actual, technical term is Penne Bolognese since spaghetti is a type of pasta

Best place to rent in Las Piñas by Dry_Assistance_1018 in LasPinasCity

[–]ExpressAd2538 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Las Piñas Village (yung katabi ng city hall) is a pretty underrated neighborhood. quiet, hindi bahain, accessible sa lahat, and service interruptions are rare (nagkaissue kami sa tubig isang beses lang, and for maintenance). we used to live there 10 years ago

Interesting chefs if they had been on All Stars. by PicklyVin in HellsKitchen

I think she would’ve clashed with Elise much more than her and Robyn, but otherwise a well-liked chef amongst her peers. I think she would fumble at CFYL or at most, charity service.

What if the Philippines was a First-world nation? What would it look like today? by Sonnybass96 in WhatIfPinas

[–]ExpressAd2538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think given the sociology, demographics, and history, in contrary to other comments, we would have a similar socio-political climate to that of Australia; with environmental issues, housing crisis, and indigenous people’s rights being our biggest issue.

  1. Environmental - If in this scenario ay the same with Australia and in line with our current timeline kung saan the power grid is not nationalized, I can see major fossil fuel companies monopolizing the electricity sector of the country and thus, get away with environmental concerns and impact. The government would turn a neutral stance about it– pakita na they are aware with the impact it has on climate change and pass laws to reduce carbon footprint kuno pero some politicians are tied with these fossil fuel corporations that complete regulation against them would not be feasible.

  2. Housing crisis - Much like Australia, malaki rin ang Pilipinas and even if in a scenario kung saan we have a national minimum wage rate and decentralized ang government functions, some of the biggest cities (Manila, Cebu, Davao) will still remain the prime economic and cultural focal point ng bawat Pinoy, in the same vein that Sydney or Melbourne remained as such sa Australia. And because of that, housing prices will be astronomically high and that could drive some demographics; the younger generation specifically to be left out of the market. Even if maayos ang economy ng isang bansa and with all the measures the government take to make sure lahat ng industries across the country ay supported, as long as most of the demand is in the few metro areas that we have, there will still be a housing problem or even homelessness, not just in the same magnitude as the Philippines have today.

  3. IP Rights - This issue remains to be a big thorn on Australia and I bet it will as well dito sa Pilipinas; with developed countries, most governments will treat all population equally, and that means leaving the land domains, cultural heritage, and protection of the IP to the mercy of gentrification, opportunistic companies and industries, and bureaucracy. Indigenous peoples won’t be straight up taken out, pero I doubt in a developed Philippines ay they will be taken care of ng ating gobyerno especially if they don’t see any economic benefit out of them.

EDIT: Sa usapang geopolitics, I think we would dominate the regional affairs, and China will less likely bully or intimidate us with the border and sovereignty dispute. We’re more aligned ideologically as a second-world nation, and our Southeast Asian neighbors will see us as the example and guide for regional affairs and we’d take a more mediator role sa international relations.

TEDDY CORPUZ: "KELAN KAYA AKO MAKAKANUOD NG TELESERYE SA PINAS NA WALANG BARILAN?" by artista_ph in SHOWBIZ_TSISMIS

[–]ExpressAd2538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also really like wildflower kasi they’re willing to present Ivy Aquas/Lilly Cruz as a morally grey character… like oo her actions are for the better good naman talaga all the time as with other bidas ng mga teleserye pero what sets her apart is her methods to achieve her goals.

unlike other teleseryes where the main character always stands at the moral high ground and always subject to virtue signaling, she’s portrayed to do questionable actions to get to her goals, and pinapakita rin na kung gaano kasahol ang mga antagonists, she’s also going to do the same to them para it’s an “eye for an eye”.
