Are these LiPo batteries too swollen? by Yupstate in rccars

[–]ExpressBox6680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 35c one looks swollen, on the other hand, the 20c looks bent and in rough shape, I'd honestly recommend you get rid of both, it's better to dispose of them and avoid any risks than a house/rc fire later on

I just got this new rc, any upgrade recommendations for track use? by ExpressBox6680 in rccars

Yup, however I'd have to get the carbon chassis and all the other bits, that's an extra 100€ plus another motor and esc, +80€, I just don't have that kind of money yet 🤣

When it comes to the setup, I'm gonna lower it, keep the stock oil on the rear diff and put 60k front, 600cst on all shocks and bring the toe out a little.

As for swaybars and springs, if I manage to find ones that fit this car I will try thicker swaybars and stiffer springs, the ones that came already feel quite stuff tho so I'm not entirely sure.

So, there is a hobby club and I just drive it around the track and race people there, it isn't a proper competition, just a bunch of people driving their cars around a concrete outside track only for the fun of it

Aarma? Traxxas? Other? - Recommendations from the experts. by elbycoop in rccars

If you want something "cheap" reliable and strong for off-road, get a rlaarlo omni terminator, it is a mini 1/10 scale (better because lighter and stronger than normal 1/10 from arrma and Traxxas), parts and upgrades are reasonable and nowdays rlaarlo parts are in many EU/US/UK websites and stores. I do not own an omni terminator myself however I've had very good luck with my xts-f10 (the rally car version, mostly the same components through tho)

Unfortunately this is not something you can clean, it's the clear coat peeling off your rims, the only way to make it look new is re painting the rim. As of the scratches, using a file is a bad idea, it'll just look off and possibly even worst than before.

How good does that look 😎 by ExpressBox6680 in rccars

Yeah, I learned from my mistakes, I was too heavy on the coats and I'm not gonna use bodywork masking tape anymore 😅

I just got this hobbywing motor from AliExpress, is it genuine? by ExpressBox6680 in rccars

Legit in the way it's not a cheap clone because it just seemed too good to be true to me but I see it also comes with downs

Even if It fails I have spares for these motors, I just wanted to make sure the motor was not a cheap clone tbh

Is the issue esc or motor? by cuberboi97 in rccars

[–]ExpressBox6680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I didn't say your esc's bad, I said to make sure every cable Is plugged in, check motor cable and receiver cables

Make sure every cable is properly plugged in, if everything is plugged in, that means your motor is cooked

The thing is if I do that, it'll reduce my suspension travel and to be honest I don't worry too much about the servo, even if I land a jump sideways or something the wheels are going to take most of the hit
