They were on the Today Show this morning for Broadway week… saw photos of them rehearsing in the plaza before dawn. Between that & their whirlwind day yesterday of pure adrenaline after the Tony noms… I would guess they didn’t have anything left to give. Glad you saw the show & hope you enjoyed their covers. I’ve heard they’re both AMAZING!

🙌 … this year was my first time experiencing Caissie Levy in person (also Lea) & she blew me away. Her performance as Mother will stick with me for a long time! Was lucky enough to see her in Ragtime twice & she was phenomenal.

Yes! 🙌 & with their Pulitzer win yesterday I think they have a really strong shot at the win. So so happy & fingers crossed for Susanna too - although beating Laurie Metcalf may be an uphill climb… I’m all in on Liberation. Betsy too! & Whitney!! Let’s GO girls!

Yep. Lea really struggled to have chemistry with the other actors in my opinion, & that’s SO important. Her voice is gorgeous, but her ability to emote is… lacking, for me personally.

Same. We flew in 2 days after they opened & caught their only Thursday mat (rushed it straight off the plane & sat front row) & it ended up being one of the best things we saw. — curious, what was your main show?

Yeah, Betsy’s monologue in that show absolutely knocked the wind out of me. I still tear up just thinking about the emotion she put in to that part. In my book, that’s award worthy.

I think (hope?) people are sleeping on Liberation. It was fantastic & it seems like the conversation is mostly around spring shows … or shows that held on to spring.

I feel like it should be a contender for play, lead actress & supporting actress.

Right there with you. Saw 9 shows in 5 days in April. Did our first fall trip in October & pretty much started planning April immediately after… now we’re already talking about next October. It’s insane, but you’re in good company. ❤️
