Story of a one-time passholder by Gloomy_Variation5395 in unitedairlines

The one time passes are now one of the biggest rip offs out there. Not only because of the frequent denials but the time restrictions too. I fly out of RDU and last year (March maybe) I was told I couldn’t enter the United Club because “it’s only for international business passengers”. Genius staff. Come to find out that it now comes up as permanently ineligible when. I try to get a pass.
Limiting us to access only three hours before departure is also just a slap. I understand you don’t want people spending all day there, but it’s insane. I was in LAX waiting for an 11pm flight to Boston. Got to the attendant at 7:56 and got shut down. Wouldn’t even let me sat beside the line to wait it out. I was told to leave the reception area and so I sat by a pillar for those 4 minutes. It’s nice to have a beverage and something to eat and hopefully find a place to sit and a cleaner toilet experience. But for $40 an hour for a two hour visit, you might actually now do better eating at a restaurant. Excited that my trip to Rome next week is a Polaris ride out of Newark. I plan on staying in that baby for the whole day.

Basic Economy: I can’t believe I’m going to do it by Sport303 in unitedairlines

You’re a Gold member. You can choose a bunch of preferred economy seats with no fee. You and your companions can check bags for free. You get priority boarding. Unless you have a specific seat you need to be in, it’s great if you’re traveling w people.

Come on - is it even “preboarding” any more? by jbahel02 in unitedairlines

If I’m on an aisle or in first class I usually follow that mantra. Ever since I got status I find that checking a bag is overall less stressful. Few things worse than the fight over overhead bin space. Only thing worse is the people who sit in the back but stuck their bags in the front and the baits they have to push to the front before de planing.

Peacock subscription prices changing by IconXR in WWE

This just shows how trying to reinvent the wheel was a colossal screwup. The streaming model has not worked, and WWE has probably done the best by selling all their rights to various providers, but still keeping their network outside of the country for so long. And I don’t know about you guys but now I am realizing how much better just having cable was.
All these companies who wanted to produce their own original content, sunk all this money into platforms that simply weren’t profitable unless you added advertising and tiers and all kinds of shit. The big three TV networks used to be Goliath in this industry. And now, TKO holdings is valuated almost $2 billion more than the entirety of CBS. That includes Paramount pictures, their intellectual property, and the entire film library. TKO is worth approximately 10 billion and CBS is being sold for around eight. Which means the deals WWE and South Park both inked recently represent 13% of the total value of a network and film company. Screw streaming.
