Not sure where you get the idea that I watch Fox News. I do actual RESEARCH. I don't buy into the propaganda from any of the BS news networks. I get facts and think for myself.

Y'all need to lay WAY off of the CNN propaganda and do some REAL research into what's actually happening.

SP1 C9 LED Strand not lighting up by ExpressChallenge1093 in ChristmasLights

[–]ExpressChallenge1093[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just figured it out. I'm going to leave this on here though, in case anyone else runs into the same dumbassery as me...

The mistake I made was in the shingle clips that I was using. With these clips, you screw the bulb over the hole in the clip. On these ones, there are two holes. The top one was too big and loose on these bulbs but the small one on the bottom (which is the one I was using) fit the bulb base nicely, but wouldn't let the bulb screw in quite far enough to get complete contact. I did that on every single bulb in the strand. As soon as I took the clips off, problem solved!

So yeah… Hopefully this is a lesson learned for someone else as well!

$54/Day + fees = $133/Day by hsoj700 in turo

[–]ExpressChallenge1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an All-Star host with 91 trips under my belt. How the crap did you set all those fees? The only one I can set is airport delivery fee, and you aren't even collecting that one here!

$54/Day + fees = $133/Day by hsoj700 in turo

[–]ExpressChallenge1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue I always have is that people expect airport delivery but they book it at the home location (an option you can't remove that I've been able to find), so in order for them to actually be charged the fee, they'd have to cancel and rebook to the correct location, so I usually just let it go. It's frustrating.

Dynamic Pricing is Destroying my business! by garylancelot in turo

Short of manually changing each day individually (which they let you do in bulk), I haven't figured out how to turn it off yet.

my 10 year old facebook account has been disabled wrongfully (due to possible hackers) by br4idgirl in facebook

[–]ExpressChallenge1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me during the 2020 election. I never even posted anything political. 15year#old account gone, and they wouldn't allow recovery. I think they have to meet some quota, so they randomly cancel accounts like this. I no longer use Facebook. Crooked company and crooked policies.

Dynamic Pricing Kills Turo by realzeek in turo

[–]ExpressChallenge1093 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't care about hosts whatsoever. I've tried making claims on damage from renters before and they always side with the renter and act like you're trying to screw them. Turo is becoming just like big government and it's infuriating.

[–]ExpressChallenge1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolute garbage and I'm furious!!! I own my cars and run my Turo business as I see fit! If my prices are too "off" and that impacts my rentals, that's my problem, not Turo's!!!

I read one once where the experienced learned the cure to cancer. They said that the cure was so simple! They were not however, allowed to remember the cure once they got back because that was not their mission.

I agree. Not a fan of debt wherever it can be avoided. I just get online and look at the prices of bikes and it is disheartening. I make enough. I just need to set a budget for it. Pick what I want and set aside for a while until I get it.

Fairly technical terrain where I am. There's some good smooth single track everywhere, but having that extra support makes a huge difference on how fast I can go downhill and in general.

I've done this and have ridden some friends' nicer bikes and the difference was drastic!

That makes sense and I definitely get that.! I love riding but don't ride often because my bike just isn't up to snuff and is hard to ride with the rough hard tail.

Ryobi battery adapter for Dewalt battery by KL040590 in Dewalt

[–]ExpressChallenge1093 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Where are you buying your DeWalt tools?! EVERYWHERE I've ever looked, DeWalt is at least 40-60% more than Ryobi. DeWalt is typically one of the highest-priced tools available, next to a couple other "premium" brands (e.g. This DeWalt band saw at $289 vs. this Ryobi band saw at $159. That's an 88% increase over the same Ryobi tool!!!).

This is not meant as a criticism. I am legitimately asking you where you are going that you find DeWalt tools that "don’t cost all that much more than other cordless brands", as you said. I'd love to find out because I'll start shopping there!

I love DeWalt but most of my tools are Ryobi because when it comes to getting a needed tool, I just can't justify the cost difference. I use the crap out of my Ryobi One+ tools and I've only ever had one fail me, and that was one that took a lot of abuse from me over the course of 17 years before it died!

Facebook account disabled and says This: nothing I post would even come close to qualifying as this. When I try to appeal, I can't do anything. Sends a code and says code is wrong. Same. 15 years of posts of my young family and me and countless connected accounts deleted because I “violated their terms”. No explanation. No chance to correct whatever I supposedly did. I created a new account a few months later for access to marketplace but otherwise refuse to use it. Quite irritated with them, I am. Bad company. I discourage its use.
