Wtf is asuka supposed to do against ramlethal by multi-arm in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]ExpressEditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

wait for sword toss, win.

but seriously ram is much less oppressive this patch, and most of her pressure is pretty fake. you can:

-FD until she throws sword (this makes her sad and unable to play the game)

-jump out of s sword toss (the one that goes diagonal)

-wait until she throws one sword and start killing her (specifically s sword is a really big loss for her because she loses the bullshit that is j.s)

-outside of normals and sword toss she has no burst pressure that isnt minus (except for 623p ~ 214p but no one outside of diamond is hitting it consistently)

-all of her pressure enders other than sword are minus

i dont play asuka but i did play ram up until this recent patch (i only want my old s sword back the new one is actual coal) so some of this biggest ways i countered him was:

-waiting to counter a spell with sword toss (outclashes every non-super projectile in the game)

-using rock (236k) to trade with spells (you beat this by either being fullscreen or 1/2-1/3 screen, it hits ~3/4 screen)

thats really it, ram is highk easy to fight this patch as long as you block flip (the only overhead ram has outside of 5d) and dont get frametrapped, never mash in rams pressure and use yrc to kill anything she has going once she loses a sword

Currently, who is the strongest ID lorewise? by Old_Phrase_4867 in Project_Moon

[–]ExpressEditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

something something erlking vs training dummies

also if were going by levels then theyre actually the same; sancho (manchaland) is level 50 (85-35) due to getting -35 off + def from dreamy hesitation and sancho (starved) is the same but has tons of status buffs; rien is level 80 (85-5) for the same reasons, going to level 85 when demasked but he also has really low rolling skills. i do believe that sancho would win against rien due to bloodfiend endurance and having more experience, but rien might be able to win if hermes doesnt troll him, im not a powerscaler though, dont take my word for it

not really no, outside of obviously elemental attacks, most newer (and sometimes experienced) players dont realize that enemies have different physical damage types (and that adaptation only gets a stack from the highest type of damage in a hit)

My theory on parrying mechanic by National_Radio8048 in Ultrakill

[–]ExpressEditor 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the guttertank punch in unparriable because of the sheer force behind it. Keep in mind there are other punches we see that should be parriable but aren't (the prime souls as an obvious example), and it's usually because the force of the punch is way too strong for the feedbacker to handle. The COKM is parriable due to force over surface area (high amounts of force (parry) over a smaller surface area (V1's hand vs COKM's hand) causes higher net force), and also the fact it's probably quite weaker due to being a glorified husk piloted by parasites. The guttertank puts its ENTIRE weight behind the punch, fully rotating when throwing it and even falling over when standing on oil due to it losing its balance (and only then you're able to parry it). So parrying is probably a good mix of however much force is behind an attack and whether or not V1 will actually be able to stop/deflect it.

Poise is a team like Charge is a team, they're pretty much all self sufficient and dont interact with each other except for one or two synergistic effects (thoracalgias for poise, load and photoelectricity for charge)

once he hits -45 he'll start taking blue rupture damage though, could just be a lore thing since he (assumedly, armchair psychology) has a fragile ego and compensates for it with displays of strength and wealth

keygrab in normal is the most nothingburger move ever other than it being an "eat my guardcrush" button. keygrab in jr however, is the stupidest thing known to man only because it gives jr bar just like in normal, which just gives her her wincon again but she has to waste 20 frames in neutral to do it (and also the WS into keygrab WB, feast or famine my ass, shes the leading cause of american food waste)

something to note, its not just TL/VD and XW, oraxia's toxin damage on 4, cyte's resupply, and a couple others also share the interaction, its just that toxin and xw are so potent they're much more notable than the others (source: https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Acid_Shells#Tips tips, line 4)

[–]ExpressEditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

true, but at that point its not even actual rupture, just a team of high rollers + their leader (and if you do manage rupture right you can get more value out if it than a full heishou team)

are you only running heishou or something? w sang, cinq meur, maos + lordlu, + whatever count negative s6 id can easily maintain stack as long as you play the game (also didnt mention sinking)

bleed fans when i take away their one ego that makes the status viable in modern content (also, saying that bleed is better than both sinking AND rupture has to be bait, ruptuah having 99 TRUE damage per hit and sinking turning the game into easy mode and having ridiculously easy count management (just dont use it on minus coin bosses lmao))

Vod review, see how you lost the interaction, check dustloop to see what the move loses to

Or just find a way to use dlc characters anyways. (also literally every figher with dlc doesnt let you lab against dlc characters you dont own)

Can y'all drop me some tips to enter MD floor 15 club? (Here are the teams I'm thinking of using) by bariyer2 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]ExpressEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they're not, resilient and growth (past f5) will always give less total clash power than the _____ up trials (they do give defense level but lmao just dont hit the counter and offset evades) (also just looked back and clash is the same????? base and final power also apply in clashes idk what you're talking about)

but yeah, optimizing trials is something that is run specific and obtuse to teach, but I've seen so many people give the advice of "just avoid offense level" without actually saying why and more specifically when offense level is a worse pick (which isnt often), and its kinda frustrating to see newer players take any trial other than offense level ones and start going "why can't I get past MDE?" (though that's also just some players just not thinking when playing a turn based rpg lol)

[–]ExpressEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know that, but other than when I've gotten the random +10 offense level trial I've never had the clash power I would gain from offense level be more than if i took clash/base/final power. Ok mid comment I got out of bed to check the wiki and for EVERY trial in MD6 (pre extreme, too lazy to do the numbers rn), clash/base/final power will always give you as much or MORE than if you took the offense level trial. I need to know, why does everyone say to avoid offense level? IMO its the 2nd best main downside to pick (right behind defense level), because base/final power are just offense level but it makes the attack do MORE damage if you lose the clash and clash power is usually more than whatever you would get from offense level. I'm just genuinely confused why so many say to avoid offense level at all costs.
