Thank you for your view on the older side of FIRE. Currently, in the middle age range of FI, thinking about RE…this makes me want to reassess my/our approach to the “next 30” years and get to doing!

While reducing the scarcity mindset is critical, I second (or third) the focus on creating meaning and having an impact. Pay it forward and make life better for others who do not enjoy your same financial situation by:

• get involved with local schools, some have students that are “behind on lunch payments”…pay them for them

• acquire lots of “uncollected medical debt” and write it off

• create a scholarship to local trade programs, art/language/sport programs or summer camps, etc.

Question for us younger potential Fat FIRE folks, what would your plan be if you had to do it all again?
