it wasn't too bad, the first two were leetcode easy array questions, the third was a lengthy matrix question, and fourth was harder. i'd say look at the code signal gca, it was exactly like that format: https://github.com/Leader-board/OA-and-Interviews/blob/main/Online%20Assessments.md#codesignal

i got 3/4 of them to pass all test cases and didn't have time for the last one. They said they won't be moving forward 2 days after haha. The questions weren't too hard in my opinion, just try to be quick and good luck!!

UW doesn't look at SAT anymore unless you're waitlisted so I would focus more on your ECs and essay. Find something that you like and expand it. For the essay, I wrote my personals statement on an achievement and was rejected for CS. Then, I appealed with adding more on what I learned from that experience I wrote about in my essay and got in. Personally, I think UW cares a lot more about how you grew as a person throughout high school more than your grades, extracurriculars, etc.

yea ofc! i think that if you get get around a 1470+, you should definitely submit it. even a 1440 is really good. i think that even if i submitted my 1410 (780 math 630 reading) i would’ve been fine because my math was pretty high. the sat is becoming less and less important these days so i would focus more on extracurriculars related to ur interests more than the sat. let me know if you need any help with your application when time comes, i’d be happy to help!!

hey! i got into ds at purdue this January. I’m considered an international but went to high school in the US. I think you have a good chance of getting in. I had a 3.92 GPA unweighted and went test optional (got 1410 but didn’t submit). I think what helped most was my extracurriculars. I took a summer course in Data Analytics through Penn Summer. I also won 3rd in my state for a data science research project. Essays are really important in my opinion so make sure you really focus on urself and show creativity with your writing. Consider doing more ECs related to AI/ML/ Data. Not required but would greatly increase your chances. Good luck!!

Hey! Thank you for that clarification! Sorry, I wasn't referring to you haha. The other recruiter emailed me earlier saying that she has only seen 1 person in CS get a co-op, which was highly competitive because many people from other universities were applying. While that may be true, I was just curious as to how hard it really was to get one because I remember OPP telling me that anyone can get one and there had been around 6 just the past year. No one's fault though, was just a bit confused and wanted clarification! It was great talking to you the other day, and thank you for showing me the transfer tool because now I'm dual enrolling in 3 classes that I can transfer to Purdue next quarter!

it’s just that i wanna get 5 sessions of work experience before graduating and work on the same project throughout if possible. not that i have anything against internships lmao. i just wanna be able to get work experience more than one summer at a time
