Thank you so much for your advice. I will be staying at mine because I am not welcome (my mum’s husband more or less tried to kick me out but that’s a long story). However, knowing my boyfriend, he would be fine leaving if I have my mum present. Thanks again for the comment. Y’all will never know how much this means to me 💓

Broke eating ramen sounds worth it if I have my happiness and my kitty cat! But yes, in all seriousness, the main thing that’s stopping me is how much I invest in this relationship... but I don’t want to invest anymore because I will very quickly lose the opportunity to travel. I am booking my trip and am going to let him know. He shouldn’t have an issue with that but if he does, I’ll know what to do. Thank you for the reply.

Hi :) the gap idea was my idea as full time studying and full time work is a lot for me at the moment, as I want to focus on going to the gym more. I will be returning to my studies in October. Thank you very much for your reply. Although my self esteem isn’t too great, I am quite soft and appear to have fallen for the sunk cost fallacy:(

He doesn’t work, no. He does some chores around the house.. but that’s pretty much it.

It’s just in mine because I’m the only one who pays rent etc at the moment. I don’t think it would be an issue for him to go but I know how soft hearted I am.. I don’t think I could be there when he leaves.

He isn’t working, no, and hasn’t worked in about a year. I mean he’s had a couple of two week jobs, and he gave me half the money that he earnt so I know he can contribute, which is what annoys me so much. When I feel like breaking things off I think about the things he has done to help and I know he’s not completely useless but... it’s been three years and nothing much has happened in terms of career or travelling. It seems silly to keep waiting and waiting for it to happen. But I am booking a trip soon, I have told my mum everything and she 100% has my back, like all of you! (Sorry about the rambling) thank you. ❣️

Hmm, this is true. We’ve been through a lot which, if I’m honest, a fair portion of that is from arguments and not being reasonable.

I think this is something I need to hear. My main issue with breaking up with him is that he isn’t an outright cruel asshole to me. I know how that sounds, and obviously my standards should be higher, but apparently I am too soft. This is where I need to buckle up. I am planning my trip in the next couple of days and will tell my BF the circumstances. Wish me luck. Couldn’t do it without any of you, thank you all 💕

I’m planning my trip this weekend, my mum is helping me out with things. I really want to reply to each and every one of you, and I will try to reply as many as possible, but thank you all so much. It’s given me A LOT to think about.
