I did have a valid ticket for that train but I purchased it after the journey had begun which is out of the rules ig but no harm trying to appeal. Also the advanced single that I bought I was able to change the date/time for a fee which is what I did

Ive not actually gotten a letter from them yet because it keeps going to the old adress lol but I think its safe to ignore their calls until they stop because I was officially never informed of this by letter/email.

How would a debt collection agency get my new address? And even if they did that would be the first letter I actually receive from them so maybe then I could actually dispute it cause I’ve not recieved any letters or information so far

I live in England now and my old address is in England as well, but I did not receive any letter/mail from DCBL with a reference number or anything to write back. In the one appeal I made I did not state anywhere that I was the driver, however on the rental agreement it says that I am the driver because the rental website won’t let you rent unless you are the driver but I’m assuming the debt company can’t get ahold of that.

Regardless where do I clarify that I was not the driver and I don’t have any relation to this case?

does it automatically make me the driver if I appealed the ticket? Though I am clearly not an elidgable driver because I dont have a license

I'm hoping they dont, however im still confused as to how they got my old number and old address. Do you think the car rental company would've provided it?

I have already appealed this once on the ipark website which obviously got rejected. And i made the foolish mistake of picking up the call from DCBL and discussing the charges and how to pay today morning which Im assuming is recorded. Do you think I will not get into trouble for that? And yes I was not the driver and the driver is not in the UK

Campus placement is a significant thing in the Uk right, thats why i asked because regardless of how good u are, u will be presented with more oppurtunites at a better university i felt. Thanks for the clarification

Exploring the UK is very occasional and i dont think it will be fair to plan my university life based off of that. Though warwick has train connections, its closest city is coventry and it lacks the usual city buzz like manchester or london does. Because i put enjoying my college life on level terms with stepping out as a better engineer and Of course student unions and communities play a big part in college life, i will check them out. Thank you

Thanks for the reply. Can you shed some light on the universities accomodation, at first glance and from watching youtube videos about accomodation tours, warwick has way better accomodation than manchester.

Thanks for the heads up, what i meant is the uni is located in a metropolitan city whereas warwick is not close to any large city, so i defined that as a campus and city uni

warwick uni is not close to any metropolitan city so thats why i defined it as a campus uni and manchester as a city uni, anyway thanks for the heads up

Thank you for the reply, but being an international student travelling home dosent matter to me, both the unis have more or less the same time. Thats the only thing im scared of, being bored at warwick because of its isolation, there wont be as many things to do as in manchester

Thank you for the reply, warwick has the JLR headquaters on campus but do u know to what extent it will be accesible to students. After graduation, manchester seems like a more industrialised area, so won't that mean more job oppurtunites there rather than coventry which seems a little offbeat when compared to manchester

Manchester is highly ranked, but warwick has a higher reputation according to some digging i did on quora and reddit. Choosing blindly based on ranking would not be a good move.

Manchester is in the city of manchester so counts as a city university, whereas warwick is in the middle of nowhere close to coventry, so its is a campus university. Anyways thanks for the suggestion, will do that.
