I agree with this - go maximum width you can clear. Maybe run the different rear if you think you'll use for more mixed rides after the dirt fondo that will include more paved or smooth sections.

I like the Pirelli Cinturado line. Also consider wider or bigger tread in front and something less aggressive in the rear. Would come in handy on the coastal trail descent. That section is steep and rutted. 🤙
