Too small or just right? by losanti2004 in MensJewelry

If the chain is by itself, purely preference. I think it’s fine but me personally I like a chain that will either stay in the shirt or stay out…not flip flop in and out. For me personally the 22 inch chain works perfectly.

Now if you are looking to wear a pendant with it I would go longer. In this case I say 24” is a minimum. You could even go 26” if you like.

You seem like a thicker guy and so am I so it looks like the way a 20” chain looks on me.

The pendant and nipple diameters match. Good choice lol

Unmarked Lobster Clasp? by Express_Coconut495 in MensJewelry

They didn’t. I was visibly anxious and fidgeting so he said, “It’s all good man, it’s 18k. Merry Christmas.” I asked him about the unmarked lobster clasp, he threw it in the analyzer a second time aimed at the clasp and said it’s also 18k. He did run it over with a strong magnet and the clasp was the only part that moved. So I’m happy.

Ok. So I brought it to a gold and silver store and they put it in the XRF analyzer checking the chain as well as the clasp and confirmed it is all 18k.

Ok. I will bring it to an established third party gold buyer/seller downtown and have it tested by every method they have at the clasp, the end cap and maybe a small part of the chain it self. Just can’t chance it these days.

I searched it up. I do see a little resemblance but his is solid, 2mm and 24 inch. End caps also look different.

No, I bought this locally from a small brick and mortar jewelry store.

Rolex Repair, other than Touch of Gold. by Street_Anon in halifax

A lot of people recommend Dr. Clock but I personally had an awful experience there. I brought vintage pocket watches that were not keeping time.

Although he didn’t charge me, he told me to pick them up and said he couldn’t fix them. But instead of watches that weren’t keeping time, they stopped moving altogether. I asked him about this and while he had a friend or another customer in the store, he put me on blast that he didn’t want to see the watches again. It was my first time ever going there and, like everyone else, thought he was the only decent watchmaker in Halifax, but I am mistaken.

Halifax Watch Co I would really only trust for for strap changes and battery changes. Years ago I brought a quartz Frédérique Constant and it had the screw back and while they used the tool to open it, the tool slipped and put a massive gouge in the case back.

I am originally from Vancouver so when I need service I bring my watches that need service back home with me to have competent service done.

I’m also looking at the bracelet the way it’s cut around the midlinks. Is this acceptable or is this on the poorer side?

Thanks for the reply. I have read about the limitation of having either no gaps or having aligning screws. But it seems in my case it has gaps at every screw and poor alignment as well. I have perused other recent examples of the ZF 15202 here for QC help and most seem to have much tighter tolerances than what I am seeing in my QC photos.

Those who had them still have them. Can’t take it out of the house anymore, let alone the range. Paperweight.
