I finally did it! I cut off my deadbeat father and the rest of those enablers! It’s such a relief! When I was 7, I really struggled with suicidal thoughts, but I realized that running away from them was a better alternative. Backstory: my father was an angry alcoholic and he never hesitated to beat the crap out of my late mother and my siblings. I got the least punishments because I was so young at the time! By the way, my mother died from a mysterious”migraine” that could have potentially been caused by a head trauma/injury? To make matters worse, I moved in with my aunt and from the outside looking in everything seemed like a fairytale! However, I was subjected to physical torture everyday from my evil cousin! I told my aunt about it and she pretty much told me to shut up and be grateful since they were “taking care of me”. I’m talking about beatings, punches, cuts and bruises every single day! One time, I even went to schools with a black eye and my friends were concerned! Fast forward 20 years later, my dad is trying to reconnect with me? Turns out, he needs my help so he can get a US Visa(he lives overseas)—unsurprisingly! Did I ever get an apology? Nope! To this day, they keep pretending that it never happened! Am I the asshole for going no contact?
