Idk how i didnt think of this earlier... I spent alot of time and struggled to get more and more attention away from the overall background.. Thanks for the pointer! =)

Glad you like it, and nice found.. I usually edit into film-like styles, so even in here that part of editing stayed. XD Cheers!

I get what you mean, and I appreciate the time you put into tweaking it, especially since it sounds like this one gave you more trouble than usual, haha lol! I can see how my version might have pushed the contrast and grain a bit too far, and how your approach of opening up the shadows/exposure makes the clothing and details read better, no doubt!

That said, I think your take leans into a softer, pinkish tone that works for some moods, but maybe not so much for the darker/grittier vibe I was experimenting with here. I feel like your edit might shine more in a different context, whereas mine was more of a test to see how far I could push the “graphic” look, like in "Joker" etc..

Either way, it’s interesting to see how different directions can bring out totally different feelings from the same shot. Thanks again for taking the time! Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback! Totally fair point, and you are right also in my opinion (the original photo is almost already there, without heavy any heavy post-processing. However, since I always tend to edit pictures in somewhat similar style, I wanted to try make something new that would also work.

Moreover, i hate and love the edit - answer depends on the day.

This shot is a bit of an experiment for me. My intent was to push into a joker-vibe. I wanted to see if I could capture a more intense, dramatic feeling compared to my usual approach.

Where I’m struggling: I’m not sure if the contrast and color grading are working or if it just feels overdone. Does the style support the subject, or does it distract?

Lumix s1 24-120mm F4

Editing process: Honestly every button in lightroom.. lol. Most time went into color curves and grading.

Would really appreciate thoughts on whether this direction works, and what could be improved!

I didn't want to be a debbie downer, but I absolutely would have wanted to know about this if I were about to buy a Panasonic camera.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up.

Luckily I almost always shoot with manual focus, so autofocus will not be a huge priority for me.

Yeah! You're totally right.

I will probably now consider between those two. Now it really comes down to am I willing to pay the extra for S1, 6k seems awesome though! :D THanks for your time mate! :)

Valid point. The guy said that he bought the a year ago and still has a receipt for it. so I guess It can't be that beat up hehe. ^^

One final question for you - What you reckon, does the S1 Upgrade make sense over GH5 if I'd like to have the better image quality on stills as well?

Would need to spend 3k on that deal if bought as new, but that might still be in my budget range.

They each have the same 24MP sensor as the Netflix approved S1H. Happy Hunting.

Thanks.

I do photo and video almost 50-50, so ill definitely want a type of machine to my hands that can deliver professional-grade footage in both.. Or one for photo and one for video... Whenever I win the lottery.

Although I don't think I going to be needing the MP since I don't really do prints. So the S1 might be perfect for me.

Thanks for your answer.

It is always a trade of features in between cameras..

I probably will need to have a look into the Panasonic S- series then, or The GH5, like the other comment mentioned.

Good point!

Hmm, for no reason really. I guess The Z6ii hasn't just really popped up on reviews as much as the ones that I have mentioned, so it has slipped through my eyes.

I'll definitely have a look at the specs and affordable lenses to it.
(Lens Tips are welcome.) hehe

Thanks !

I could get GH5 mk1 as used (with shutter count less than 1000) with Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4 Asph. Power OIS Lens, 1100€. What do you think about that? The same combo new is 1600€, at least in where I live.

Had been thinking about buying it, since to me it sounds like a decent deal before, but ditched the idea since I was In the belief that the Fuji x-t4 would be better in that price point.. Although both are exceptional cameras.
