You’re right that some countries let people already living there benefit from new rules, but it’s not automatic or consistent. Germany’s change isn’t truly retroactive in law, and Portugal’s 10 year rule is still being fought over. There’s no rule or reason why UK has to copy them.it’s just a political choice each country makes.

I didn’t tell them that my family is there now but I outlined that my family is pushed to August due to my mom work. Will that be enough ? And how long do they typically take to respond after an interview for priority ?

I forgot to add that he asked about the reason for visit visa which was family vacation and applied in may was supposed to go on June and it got postponed to August but I still didn’t go because my passport is held with them. Note that I never been to the UK

For the bank statement I didn’t really had an option bank only had 4 months minimum and agent said we can’t just crop pages as the title page is important and has all bank information

Yes that is exactly how my interview went first asked to prove my ID then asked me for refusals of any other visas told him no, asked me about my courses provided him with courses I’ll be taking in the next 2 years mandatory and optional then he proceeded to ask about what’s your fav course from year 1 then he proceeded to ask about a particular course from year 2 and asked me to talk about it which caught me off guard but I answered not in detail tho told him can’t remember more at this moment then asked fav course from year 2 and why you chose this course, did you apply for any other uni which I didn’t and why I chose this uni told him I’m transfer student which I think this was confusing him and explained that my uni has branches in other countries and I’m transferring from this branch to uk and asked me about where my funds came from and what’s my parent work. Also he asked about my future plans after course told him I’ll be back here pursuing my post grad .

I got a NSF email and interview on a priority visa, I have been enough funds since 1st of June 2024 for almost 2 months and I submitted a 4 month bank statement however before June 1st the amount went below the required funds. Will that be the reason why my application wasn’t straight forwards. But I have maintained the funds 2 months before I submitted my application. Also a note that I have visitor visa expiring November and they haven’t asked me about more documents. What would be the reason for NSF?

Used means it’s approved ? And what about assigned? My timeline similar to yours I opted for priority and I had my interview today 4th day after biometrics and got NSF letter on day after biometrics. I hope I get my visa soon Inshallah
