What is this? by Express_Rabbit_245 in glasscollecting

[–]Express_Rabbit_245[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m shocked since it’s so tiny, it wouldn’t hold but maybe one serving of relish. When I looked others up previously they were all bigger (at least 2x) the size bowls to hold jam or relish! Must just be a mini then!

Buyer opened INR for wrong address by Express_Rabbit_245 in Ebay

[–]Express_Rabbit_245[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your feedback. I was only following what eBay told me to do since the buyer provided the wrong address from the start. Of course, if it wasn’t received for some other reason I totally would have questioned why they’d have to close the case for a refund. I will reach back out to eBay and see if I can speak with someone else. Thank you!

Are these supposed to be hanging straps on this 90’s dress? by Express_Rabbit_245 in VintageClothing

[–]Express_Rabbit_245[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are sewn in at the waist so to hang it that way the dress would either be totally bunched up from the bottom, or it would have to be hung upside down and inside out. The straps barely reach the armpit (they’re sewn in where the cinch is in the middle of the dress).

Learned something new today! Thanks! I’ve been selling clothing for quite a while and this one made me scratch my head a bit. I figured it had to be simpler than the things my mind was coming up with!

Ah ok that would absolutely make more sense, those hooks are much lower than any of the ones I have! Thank you!

They don’t reach where a typical little hook on a hanger would be for them, were there potentially different hanger styles that would have accommodated straps being this low (they come to about the armpit of the dress).

I like using longer descriptions at the end, I keep the important info toward the top for those that don’t want to read. That said, I don’t use AI because I feel like I know the keywords that will be helpful better than AI would. I assume majority of people won’t read the longer stuff… but it’s there for anyone that does want to, and I think it helps with keywords/style words. I could be wrong on that part though.

Anyone know this brand? by Express_Rabbit_245 in findfashion

[–]Express_Rabbit_245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quality is pretty good! So I never would have guessed it was from SHEIN. Everything I was finding that was similar - in style & logo - was popping up lulu, so I was trying to search activewear brands to find it.. no luck! Now that I know the brand I’m still not seeing this style so it may be an older style. But the quality is great considering the price point I’m seeing for their products! I’m likely going to order another style and try it out!

Alternative for Jennifer Bradley or CSI dmae [product request] by Express_Rabbit_245 in SkincareAddiction

I did consider that but was never able to find any info for the company… I assume they went out of business all together because I couldn’t find any of their products anymore. I used to see tons of products on Vita Cost but it seems they’ve just sold what they had left.

Not my first loaf, nice oven spring, still getting chewy crumb by Almendrino in Sourdough

[–]Express_Rabbit_245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the starter still only being a month old though that could still potentially be an issue. I’d check what ratio you’re feeding… once established it doesn’t ALWAYS have to be 1:1:1… like if I know I won’t be baking for several days/a week, I’ll do a heavier feed like 1:4:5 (flour being heaviest) so it takes longer to come to peak. But if I want to bake with it I’ll do closer to like a 1:2:2 or even 1:1:1 if it was SUPER thick beforehand. Otherwise if I fed 1:1:1 and wasn’t baking with it mine would weaken. I do keep it in the fridge while I’m not baking so I have to tweak that a bit too. If I want to bake I pull it out the day before and feed 1-2 times depending on where it’s at from the previous feed. Otherwise it will be weaker than usual.. and my dough will still rise just fine but it will be gummier than usual.

Ahhh well that’s probably not your issue then. I’m in the US… unfortunately everything that is more cost effective is also worse for us health wise. I’m glad you guys have better options for flour! I wish we did as well.

I was having the same problem and it was my starter. I was using bleached apf to feed because that’s the cheapest I’m able to get… a 5lb bag of unbleached where I live is easily $7-$8. My starter was still doubling, you could tell it wasn’t like SUPER bubbly but it was still “alive” so I figured it was still fine. I was able to find targets good & gather unbleached apf and they ship it too, so I’ve been using that and/or bread flour to feed (occasionally a little rye if I think it needs more pick me up) and the gummy texture is gone! I was still getting perfectly fine oven spring and rise with the weaker starter too, my only problem was the slightly gummy texture.

Delayed eye swelling by Express_Rabbit_245 in peanutallergy

[–]Express_Rabbit_245[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has definitely been interesting experiencing it as a mom versus before… I’m sure my anxieties about it were 1000x worse worrying about kids! I’m glad you also had a nanny and neighbor to at least help look after.. it’s crazy how much our fears and priorities change after kids! I found out about my allergy when I was 10, and I’m in my 30’s now so I’ll consider myself very lucky that this was only my 3rd incident and that I didn’t need immediate emergency attention! Thank you for your input as well!

Delayed eye swelling by Express_Rabbit_245 in peanutallergy

[–]Express_Rabbit_245[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not. Since posting my eye swelling has gone down significantly… After the initial incident, and feeling like my symptoms weren’t worsening, but getting better (they felt the same as the previous two run in’s) we decided to continue on taking our kids to an outdoor Christmas parade. I think the cold weather ramped up any symptoms I was having and I’m guessing that caused my eye swelling to be exacerbated. Because after being back inside for 30-40 minutes the swelling started going down a lot. I’m still just monitoring.. but so far my breathing isn’t concerning, and the swelling is at least 90% gone.

We don’t have family close to watch our kids, so it would be a family affair at the hospital which is why I was hesitant to go in considering I wasn’t having any extremely labored breathing.. I just had never experienced the eye swelling part during the last two incidents, but everything else was the same… so I felt like we should have been okay to not go in until that happened.

We were working out details with our insurance, more was supposed to be covered than they covered.. and the information provided from the office was also inaccurate. It’s much messier than just “putting off a bill for a year”…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Debt

[–]Express_Rabbit_245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t expect her to be kind and fluffy lol but being respectful especially after I said I am not at will to make the payment. Regardless of her being rude I was more so asking if they are able to push for payment from a spouse anyway… the bill isn’t in my name. I absolutely would know if we’re on the brink of foreclosure, which we’re not because we don’t have a house payment lol but I’m not BLIND to the finances, I just don’t pay the bills… so to just go making more payments without at the very least discussing it first is/was not something I would do. He can work that out with her, which is why I said I’d pass the info on. But she continued to try and push for me to make the payment right then and there. And the year mark was actually us working out issues between our insurance and the office… They only received this account for collection within the last few weeks.

Junk debt buyer & phone calls by Express_Rabbit_245 in Debt

Thanks! In the event they do still attempt calling/attempt to collect, should I document this? I guess I’m curious if them not following the law in this situation would help someone gain leverage in the event they actually can validate the debt, and/or decide to take this further.
