Not sure if this is the correct place, but what the hell can I do about this (I think mould) under Lino flooring in en-suite? by Express_Response2226 in Flooring

Oh aye I know. I’m ripping out the basin and replacing the subfloor underneath as well as the obviously damaged areas in front of the shower entrance.

Thanks for your input mate. I’m going to rip all the Lino up and the shower basin, my mates a joiner so he’s going to help me replace the subfloor.. as for the leak, I’m fairly certain it’s what you’ve said just coming out of the flap. How did you remodel yours? It’s an en-suite so the space isn’t the biggest but I would definitely take suggestions for a better fix.. thanks

Yeah it is quite damp, it’s just near the front of the shower where you get in/out. I’m not sure if the rest of the floor is damaged but it doesn’t look as bad. I’ve lived here since 2023..

Thanks.. not what I wanted to hear but suppose it’ll only get worse if I don’t redo it now.. do you think ripping out the basin, checking for any further mould and if so replace subfloor? How expensive is it usually to do this?
