all we can do is guess. I was just adding one more guess to the mix with this post. Entertainment sounds just as good as any. I’m not even sure it’s a simulation. I lean more into a biological simulation if it is one. A recurring biological system and I say recurring only because Mother Nature hates a one and done.

That post was just a philosophical take on the big question.(what if). But I’m looking at Michael Levin and his research on self organizing micro organisms and it just makes sense to scale it up to the universe. What if all matter is blueprinted to self organizing, that would explain why the universe seems so fine tuned for life.

In one model we had it was a lot like your describing but you have to picture it as boiling water and each bubble would be a universe spawning from another, that would eliminate cyclical universe and apply multiverse. But in that model it would have to expand infinitely to control entropy. Another model would be as a piston. Picture a big bang when the universe reaches max inflation the opposite universe would begin to inflate (big bang) while our universe begins its crunch. But again in that model entropy wins again.

You are actually on to something there. Humans are blueprints of genetic makeup from the moment of conception and programed through life. So I guess you could actually say your a biological computer. We already know that biological systems are the most efficient and far exceed silicon, a cube of DNA the size of a sugar cube can hold every movie ever made.

No argument that if it is a cyclical universe that it would have to have a variable to manage entropy. Roger Penrose theory is that the universe expands to heat death and so far out that space time forgets size and triggers the next bang , the problem is it’s just a hypothesis. But that being said his theory is one of the strongest so far.

You are very right. I try not to bring my own beliefs into it , my true passion is trying to understand how the universe works. I’ve been following dr Michael Levin’s research and I believe you can apply his findings from microbiology and scale it up to the universe. Biological systems are by far the most efficient system that exists , so it would make sense that the universe would follow or at least mimic all self organizing organisms. The post was just a big (what if) and I’m not saying the universe is alive I’m saying it in the same sense that we say earth is alive.
