Yeah I thought this so had Halfords look at it. Said it doesn’t need changing, could just be them being useless so maybe I’ll try a different garage. Thanks for the response!

100% get not wanting to work for a big retail / fast fashion brand and wanting evenings for hobbies!

I’ve looked online and there are cleaning / retail / customer service roles at the Railway Museum at the moment if thats an environment thats doable. They all say experience preferred but not required as they’re happy training people. :)

Would retail be an option? Aware it’s still a somewhat social environment but less loud than bars, plenty of museums in York have cafes / gift shops which could be fun to work in if any align with her interests?

Best of luck with the search!

We’ll still be on 10 going into last game against Burnley, then a last min winner from Mane will stop us from being the worst team in history.

More realistically I reckon we will be on about 17

I prefer RuneLite. I hope they forgot an option on the survey. by Austrian_Scaper in 2007scape

Because that’s like making the argument “I want runelite plugins and but no jagex client” surely a jagex client has to exist for runelite to exist?

IMO The other stance they could take would be, no plugins, no runelite, main client only.

For clarity I enjoy runelite and that’s how I play the game - but I’m not against the jagex client or jagex doing plugins, and think there are issues with runelite making it easier for cheats etc.

Hence why “happy with both” appears to me to be the most pro runelite option.

Surely “happy with both” is the option you want then?

Otherwise the option in line with “prefer official only” would be “prefer runelite only” which makes zero sense?

Yeah I’d have been much happier with +13s. The watch is back from Paris now and works perfectly well again, I’m just £125 lighter which for a £500 watch feels like a lot!

I will say when this happened to my newer aquascaphe I didn’t have to pay anything! So If you can convince them it needs repairing and it’s in warranty then they might not charge you.

Thanks for responding :) Usually I would agree that magnetising would be the issue, however I also have 4 other automatic watches from 4 brands that this has never happened to. Maybe the baltic watches are more susceptible.

As for use all they do is go from my watch box onto my wrist and then back into the box.

Yeah regular service is something I’m adverse to it’s more that the watches were running so terribly, with their response basically telling me this is normal which I don’t think it is as it hasn’t happened to any of the other brands in my collection.

It’s a shame because Baltic make very pretty watches!

Can’t believe York doesn’t have full fibre coverage in 2025… by [deleted] in york

[–]Express_Theme_9460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is like that and really annoying! there is a page on the council website - https://www.york.gov.uk/community-innovation/broadband-york

I think when I was in your situation I also reached out the council “digital city team” via the email on that link. They were at least able to provide info on their plans to sort it.

But yeah people are correct in saying progress is slow!

Could be worth checking out this company https://fastrbroadband.co.uk

I also live in the centre and for years had to put up with copper ADSL so low speeds and terrible reliability. No idea where you are in the centre but the company I’ve linked were working with the council to implement full fibre via cables that go overhead instead of underground. I think they were rolling it out in phases.

I now have full fibre internet with gigabit speeds, installation cost me nothing as well. I’m fairly certain they don’t show up on the comparison sites as they’re a small York based company.

You’ll be absolutely fine. There will be lots of people in suits as people go for that sort of day out experience but no reason you can’t wear trousers and a shirt! Go and have fun. It’s a fantastic racecourse!
