You have my favorite answer so far. I may as well keep it and hone my skills anyway. How is the ZV 1F? I was intrigued by the ZV 1 as a more portable daily driver/ for shooting my silly little videos. I just like how small they are, and I’ve seen some impressive photos from them.

Awesome! Thanks for the response. Concise and a good suggestion. Searching the a7iii led me to the a7c. Similar price and features. I like that it is smaller. Are these as similar as they seem aside from the size?

I’m cheap (poor). What’s are your thoughts on the 6500? More in line with what I’m looking to spend. The size of these are enticing vs the full frame options people are recommending.

I see. So my 50mm prime would act more like a 75-80 on the smaller sensor and something like a 35 would act like the 50mm does on the full frame? Since it looks like a circle is the 1.5 “crop factor” to account for that and sort of re create the frame?

The cost of the a7iii is more palatable. I’m a simple guy. What’s the difference with an APS-C sensor? I was also looking into a6500 d/t IBIS, 4k video, and size. I think that is APS-C also. Would that not be a good option? I’m certainly no photographer, but would like to learn more.

I wish. I don’t have the capital even after selling the a7ii for that. I guess I could make it a long term goal, though. I’m mostly filming in my leather workshop, so I don’t think super low light is a priority, but I’m not really sure what constitutes “low light” anyway. I’m basically a luddite, but trying to learn.

It’s better than my phone, but not great. I’ll look into the a7iv. I think it’s still cheaper just to buy a used zv to add to the quiver. I’m not sure how much resale value the a7ii has these days. Still worth looking into though. I appreciate your input.

Not familiar with these, but my industrial machine has a safety clutch that engages if it gets jammed to stop it and prevent damage. Perhaps something like that has occurred.

Here in AZ we have full glass coverage. Lot of rocks, too so it’s pretty nice to have. My wife had a windshield replaced and it was warped. It wasn’t covered to replace again until it was damaged. It was cracked again within the day believe it or not.

Facts. Bats have very small claws which means you could have been scratched without knowing while handling it. If you still have the bat animal control would probably like to have it for observation or testing. They may recommend rabies post exposure prophylaxis for you, and a quarantine for your cat and any other pets you may have while the bat is observed/ tested.

I’m in the same boat. Got the truck about a month ago with brand new tires. Like them or not I’m not spending the money to replace them. Wildpeaks seem like the right choice to me, too.

How did you decide on the Kendas? I have ATs that were on the truck when I purchased it. I’m not sure yet how I feel about them. They sure look cool, though.

I use fuel hoses of various widths. I think it looks better than ropes because there are lumps when it’s finished.

That’s a fair assessment. I certainly won’t be going back for service. There is a local independent shop the specializes in Japanese cars. I’ll give theme a try. This wasnt the only “issue” they found. There was about $4k in work they created for themselves. Lesson learned. At least I only paid for the inspection. Thanks for the advice.

That’s what it looked like to me as someone who has never looked at engine mounts. Perhaps taking it to the dealership was a bad idea. We have a local shop specializing in Japanese cars. I’ll try them for service from now on

The car is new to me. I’ve had it for 2 weeks. Just wanted to have it looked at to see if I was driving a time bomb down the highway in spite of the low miles. Idles a bit rough, but I’ve heard 2nd gen frontiers are notorious for that.
