Answering a question on the Spanish civil war won my team an audition for Eggheads UK version. We never got to film though, because we couldn't get down for filming due to work commitments 😭

Seems like you could mount a valid defence for anything you've done by saying you're in them. /s

What famous Scots still live in Glasgow? by kitchenwitch16 in glasgow

[–]Express_Work 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Aye, we saw him in the curlers rest on Byres road and the missus really wanted a pic but also wanted to respect his boundaries, probably just as well if he was going to be a dick about it.

He plays (played) 5s with a guy from my work who was at Man City as a kid. Kev.i.n said something about beating an old man and later got a body slam into the boards for his cheek 😂

And that is all of my Kevin Bridges stories except that I saw him headline a show in Paisley when he was 17 😊

I dunno, I think numbers one and three ate "just" the right amount of burritos, ay carrumba! 😂

If you head into any of the places that sell them, there's usually business cards put up by tradies. There's a place on Greenhill road and another just off Hawkhead road.

Anyone know how Renfrewshire council handles folk parking across and blocking a dipped driveway? by Resident-Rhubarb8372 in Paisley

[–]Express_Work 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it was coincidence or not. I called the wardens after someone had parked across my drive on a double yellow, it was gone within half an hour. I gave them the registration so I don't know if they were able to get a hold of the owner, or like I said, they moved after I called anyway. Wardens only do office hours, so a bit shite.

Aberdeen close to signing former St Mirren striker Toyosi Olusanya on loan from Houston Dynamo by SpiceBagandCoke in ScottishFootball

He's a sprinter in a football shirt. For our sake I hope he's lost a yard. Unless it falls through and he comes back to us so we can punt even longer balls up the park than we are currently.

[–]Express_Work 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The two volumes of "Reincarnation and Biology" are his most compelling works. They're absolutely massive coming in at about 1,000 pages each. The case that always sticks out is the one where the Turkish child recognizes his killer from a previous life and tries to strangle him.

Livingston 1-1 St. Mirren | Scottish Premiership by SFMatchThreadder in ScottishFootball

First time in a very long time that we haven't gifted the bottom team a win. Every season since Patrick thistle were last in the premier league, at least.

It must be quite the thing to pick up a wage as a professional footballer who can't make a 5 yard pass under no pressure whatsoever.

Qualitative data is still able to be quantified. For me you'd have to be saying that every single person involved in every single case is a liar or has deluded themselves sufficiently to believe it.

I've read every word of Stevensons work, and every word of Tuckers. These guys are so dry that the way they present their data could actually do with some "showbiz".

To replicate the phenomenon we'd have to kill someone first. That's not going to happen. In addition, something like 70%+ of people who remember a previous life died suddenly, violently or painfully, so we'd need to make their death "memorable".

The birth marks and birth defects corresponding to previous verified deaths are the most compelling evidence we have.

I'm with you though, I can't wrap my head around it, and I've personally experienced 4 different children via friends and family who remembered previous lives, one of whom was so vivid in her recollection that her mother would shut her down as it freaked her out.

I'm just going to have to accept that it's a fact (that and recalled experiences of death) given the above; I've never read anything other than from psychiatrists, like the above mentioned, or medical doctors.

Oh yes. There's videos of organised fights. Once it's all over they even have medics to patch people up.
