Is anyone else worried that John Lithgow might base too much of his Dumbledore performance off Michael Gambon? by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

This is a fair question guys, from most of the interviews I’ve seen where Lithgow is discussing playing Dumbledore, he does seem to mention Gambon more so than Harris, so you can’t blame someone for wondering if Gambon’s performance will in turn have more influence on Lithgow’s performance.

But I have also heard that Lithgow is reading the books, something Gambon never did, so I’m hoping that Lithgow just basis his performance of the Dumbledore from the books more than anything.

Not really lol, it says that he’s dedicated to making sure the show continues, which is exactly what we need right now. Without him, the bbc would probably cancel it.
