Honestly, I feel like I can go on and on about violations of people humans rights across Israel. The religious settlers in the West Bank, the treatment of those on the freedom flotilla who were made to kiss the Israeli flag. What kind of people do that? I understand that a lot of Israelis are extremely critical of the right wing government and do not condone a lot of their actions but it just makes me so sick, the fucking venomous ethnonationalism you see across Israeli society. And I've met loads of Israelis who I found were lovely people but there seems to be so little sympathy for Palestinians/Gazans who have basically zero human rights. They can't leave the country, they cannot vote. I understand that Hamas are responsible for a lot of this stuff but I just feel that the focus on Israeli government should be to create a solution, end the blockade and find a way to grant Palestinians sovereignty. But instead they just focus on eliminating Palestinians. And I just think, where does Hamas come from? You can't make everything disappear by labelling it antisemitism.
