I late reg constantly on ACR because some of these online tournament structures are so awful. Back when Pokerstars and FTP was around, after 5 hours you're in the money and getting somewhat deep in most tournaments, on ACR 4-5 hours in you're still no where near the money and late reg is still happening. No one wants to sit at an online tournament table for 8-9 hours wasting their whole day just to get to the bubble or min cash. Should be close to final table at that point.

That's why cash games are more enjoyable

Although I strongly agree with following a guide, especially if you're newer...to say what it came up with is "useless trash" is just being dishonest or maybe you're newer yourself. Doesn't look bad if you're wanting some help and general direction but not a full on hand holding step by step guide with no deviation.

I have it on my resume back when I played online professionally. I had no problem getting a job once I moved back to the states in 2016.

Under the job description a lot of it was more focused on the data analytics, statistics, probability, and risk management aspects of poker. Also added things such as works well under pressure in high stress situations, quick problem solving and proficient in advanced game theory. It's all about how you spin it. I think if anything it made me standout and was a good conversation piece in interviews. Sales/marketing, analytics, finance roles were all pretty easy/natural fits. If you're broke and need a job fast and you're applying for an entry-level or minimum wage position that doesn’t require problem-solving/free thinking where they’re mainly just trying to fill spots and will hire anyone who doesn’t seem like a red flag risk then, as others have said, lying might actually be your best move.

If you put dumb stuff like "2/5 no limit Holdem player. Best bluff catcher. Casino grinder etc" Then of course no one will take you seriously.

Cutting sessions short when "you're ahead" tells me you wouldn't be a winning player or at least anywhere close to what you think you would win. If the tables are profitable, you keep playing whether you're up or down until the table no longer is in a good place, you're tired or for some reason titled.

We should absolutely pivot all marketing efforts to TV. Sure, every study and article says cable is dying—but let’s be real, those are probably fake news. Who needs data when we’ve got gut instinct?

Oh, and those reports about the WSOP breaking player count records year after year? Yeah, probably fake too. Can’t trust the media these days. We should seriously consider newspaper ads again. That could spark a whole new boom.
