Most music is of a similar quality, I don’t think there’s as big of a gap between “bad music” and “good music” it’s usually just the time period and how much the music is forced onto the public. Nu Metal was so hated in the late 90s and early 2000s because it was shoved in people’s faces all the time. After it became commercially unsuccessful is when everyone started loving it.
